This is Satou. Sometimes, when I talk about obscure topics, I’m surprised when a friend who should know well suddenly reveals unexpected knowledge. Of course, even where I’m unaware, their life continues flowing.

“—Farewell, General.”

Hikaru bid farewell in front of the massive tombstone.

I had brought Hikaru to visit the homeland of the giants who had provided their remains to the Holy Relic Animated Armor.

This morning, we had exchanged the fake Holy Relic Animated Armor to bury the real one.

I created a magical barrier with my magic, but since that alone might not prevent someone from eventually disturbing the grave, we had called in an expert in such matters.

“Is it about time?”

Yuika Unit 3, the First Generation Little Demon Princess, called out to Hikaru.

The “Unit 3” is a classification name referring to her original personality among her multiple personalities.

“Sorry, Foilnis.”

“Don’t worry, Yamato. Granting the wish of one of the few ‘Tenion×Hero’ comrades is no trouble at all.”

Foilnis is Yuika Unit 3’s chuunibyou-style nickname.

Apparently, these two shared a fondness for the same shoujo manga.

After such exchanges, the burial site of the Holy Relic Animated Armor was sealed by Yuika Unit 3’s barrier.

“This time, I made it so that the view of the homeland from the burial site is visible; visible light passes freely.”

Yuika Unit 3 demonstrated, carefully not touching the tombstone in front of us.

“You may visit the grave freely, but the Dragon Flame Orb fragment used in his heart is a dangerous artifact desired even by the Seven Gods. It’s best not to let others know too much.”

If I recall, the Dragon Flame Orb was the artifact that created the Great Desert west of the Labyrinth City.

While I doubt anyone could break the barrier Yuika created with her unique skill, gods or those with unique skills to break barriers might take interest, so secrecy is safer.

“Alright, I’ll keep it a secret from everyone.”

“That’s best.”

Yuika Unit 3 nodded at Hikaru’s answer.

“Satou, could you turn the area around here into a flower field?”

“Sure thing.”

Answering Hikaru’s wish, I transformed the barren land around the tombstone into a colorful field blooming with flowers.

After quietly gazing at the scenery with Hikaru for a while, we left the area.

I sent Hikaru back to the Isolated Island Palace and Yuika Unit 3 back to her hermitage in the lower layers of the Selbira Labyrinth.

As an apology for the trouble, I gave them the usual assortment of surface foods, plus a magical device that converts magic power into 100-volt AC electricity, household appliances obtained from a parallel Earth, and even cup noodles and snacks.

Yuika Unit 3 gleefully enjoyed these nostalgic items before becoming serious and speaking to me.

“Satou, that was a ‘General’ earlier, right?”

“Yes, Yamato called him that.”

I nodded in response to Yuika Unit 3’s question.

“Was there no ‘Overlord’?”

“Apparently, only the ‘General’ was found during this exploration.”

According to Marquis Kelten, who sent the explorers on the ruin investigation, it seems only that one unit was discovered.

“Is there something wrong with the ‘Overlord’?”

“Yes, that one is a bit dangerous. Long ago, the Furu Empire fools excavated the Divine Punishment Cannon mounted on the ‘Floating Castle’ of the Larakie Dynasty. Though a single shot, it could slice through thick Adamantite alloy armor.”

Wow, that’s impressive.

Maybe even stronger than my single-shot laser?

“It’s incomparable to magic cannons. If an enemy uses it, eliminate them without hesitation. You tend to be too soft-hearted, so I worry.”

“Thank you, Yuika.”

I told Yuika Unit 3 thanks for the advice, which was out of concern for me, even though I could easily defend against something like a focused laser level attack.

“Hmph, if you got seriously injured, the current Yuika would be sad.”
