Satou here. I love protagonists who show up gallantly just in the nick of time, but when they always appear at the perfect moment, I start to suspect they’re just waiting for their cue. Surely, it’s just that the goddess of destiny favors them.

“Phew, that’s the last one.”
“But still, it’s impressive that only the dragon spear or Master’s fist can break these. If we made shields out of fake cores, they’d be pretty strong.”
Alisa remarked after crushing the final fake core.
“Fragile~?”
“They easily crumble with just a finger.”
Tama and Pochi, who were collecting the shards on the ground, demonstrated how brittle they were to Alisa.
“Master, I recovered five Golem Souls and a Golem Heart from the guardian earlier.”
“Thanks, Liza.”
Liza had brought back this labyrinth’s special items along with a softball-sized demon core.
I stored the loot I received into the storage.
At that moment, the minimap showed some movement.
It seemed the heroes had arrived at the Demon King’s chamber.
“Master, this is bad! Our teleport and clairvoyance are being blocked!”
“—Yeah, I see it too. We can still do line-of-sight teleportation, so it looks like we can’t teleport past the labyrinth walls.”
“Item Box, open—okay, that still works.”
Escape by teleport seems impossible too.
From the menu info, movement by “unit placement” still seems normal.
While checking this, monsters began gathering at the boss room where the heroes were.
“I’m worried about the heroes. Let’s head out early to provide support.”
I said, then dashed with my companions to the labyrinth’s halfway point.
Since Alisa and Mia can’t use instant movement, Liza and Nana carried them. Lulu’s skill was low, so I carried her.
Using instant movement and earth shrinking, we reached the magma room—a cylindrical relay point—in just a few minutes.
Miss Karina was lagging behind but managed to catch up.
While giving drinks and snacks to everyone, I used magic power transfer to restore everyone’s magic power.
“Master (hyuhin ha ma)~?”
Mouth still full of beef jerky, her words were hard to catch.
“Looks like enemies.”
The distorted space ahead was blocked by a brown high-rank demon appearing in the narrow passage.
“By the order of my lord, Brown Five—”
“Liza.”
“Understood.”
Without waiting for the introduction to finish, Liza’s dragon spear pierced the high-rank demon’s magic core.
The demon tried a bear hug as a last-ditch effort, but it failed.
“Akusokuzan~?”
“Justice served!”
Tama and Pochi swallowed their beef jerky and finished off the demon.
“Hey!”
Lulu’s new acceleration cannon fired, blowing off the upper half of another high-rank demon that tried to appear behind the wall opposite the passage.
“Let’s clean up perfectly.”
The lower half was turned to dust along with the surrounding walls by Alisa’s spatial magic.
“Ugh.”
“I’ll tell Mia this is just the real deal.”
“Everyone’s way too strong.”
Mia, Nana, and Miss Karina, who hadn’t had a chance to act, grumbled.
That relaxed mood was interrupted by the sound of stones falling.
“Now they’re trying to collapse the footing—”
The platforms ahead and behind started crumbling, and the magma room was neutralized by Neutral Magic, disabling magic and magic-based skills.
“Nan kurunaisa~?”
“Seriously, if it wasn’t for us, we’d have been wiped out already.”
The frontliners forced their fingers and toes into walls to create footing.
The weaker backliners held on using the same arrangements as before.
We forced our way to the side passage and resumed moving.
We navigated the rapidly shifting corridors optimally, aiming for the boss room where the heroes were.
The Dungeon Master tried to interfere once again, but we cleared all obstacles with ease.
I thought I heard the Dungeon Master grinding his teeth in frustration, but it was probably just my imagination.
As soon as we entered the final corridor leading to the boss room, Nana at the front reported.
