Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody

Chapter 449: Journey Through the Eastern Countries 🌏

Published: September 10, 2025

Satou here. When I get absorbed in a hobby, time seems to fly by. Even at work, efforts to speed things up and creating complex routines go quickly, but bug fixes and specification changes are long and grueling tasks.

â—‡

It's already been a month and a half since we departed from the snowy land—the Kiwalk Kingdom.

We visited various countries and small tribal villages at a relaxed pace, and during airship travel periods, we devoted ourselves to leveling up and training.

Of course, Arisa-led recreational activities were also sprinkled in appropriately.

Today, I came alone to the Forest of Boruenan to visit Ms. Aze and show her my new creation.

“That's amazing, Satou! You finally succeeded!”

“Yes, although the magic consumption is still too high, so it’s not quite complete yet.”

I looked up at the airship hovering above the treehouse in the Forest of Boruenan.

It doesn't match up to the Elves' lightships or the dimensional stealth ship Jules Verne of hero Hayato, but I was able to fly my first homemade airship equipped with dimensional stealth functionality.

This was also thanks to the technical support from the Elven Berinuan and Buranan clans.

“It's really incredible. The lightships are repaired and manufactured by the World Tree, so few know how the dimensional stealth system works, and only high elves from the Berinuan or Buranan clans can actually build them.”

Lady Lua, watching beside me, praised with a look of respect.

Before I could even enjoy a good moment with Ms. Aze, technology-focused Elves who spotted the new ship came one after another.

“Hey, Satou. You've finally made a lightship?”

“Never thought a human tribe who taught airship operation would surpass us.”

“By the way, I made an automatic ice maker with the Attribute Stones you gave me last time—take it with you.”

“If you have that many Attribute Stones, you could probably make anything.”

The Attribute Stones the latter Elves were talking about were not just the Ice Stones we obtained in Kiwalk Kingdom.

After leaving that country, we helped the army of the Third Prince of the Kogork Kingdom, who nearly froze to death in a monster-infested area, and in return, they gave us a large number of Wind Stones.

Just as the neighboring Kiwalk Kingdom produced Ice Stones, in the grassy country of Kogork, Wind Stones were artificially created by magical devices.

Of course, just like in Kiwalk Kingdom, the ones providing the technology were the weasel people.

I'm curious why they’re collecting Attribute Stones, but I have a feeling the answer might be something like making money.

Thanks to twists and turns and Pochi’s efforts, we managed to acquire remnants of the Wind Stone producing magic device in Kogork Kingdom, and by comparing it with documents and the Ice Stone producing device acquired in Kiwalk Kingdom, we roughly figured out how to make Attribute Stones.

Simply put, by imbuing spirits with simple attributes and supplying them with a large amount of demonic essence, the essence crystallizes into Attribute Stones.

The role of “imbuing spirits with simple attributes” is played by the surrounding environment and the Attribute Stone production magic device, but in my case, since I can change spirits to any attribute using my homemade spirit magic, as long as I have enough demonic essence, I can easily make Attribute Stones.

Regarding large quantities of demonic essence, I had a supply location, so production of various Attribute Stones is currently ongoing.

Though in small amounts, we’re also getting high-purity gem-type Attribute Stones, which I plan to use for new equipment for my companions.

—Dreams are expanding.

Also, regarding the pending matter of the Apostles—

Besides Kogork Kingdom, we visited three other kingdoms, and in two of those places, we found traces of Apostles wearing white robes.

Mine operators who discarded child slaves and members of criminal guilds dealing in demonic enhancement potion-based drugs had been turned to pillars of salt.
