This is Satou. There was a time when games popularized enemies that could only be defeated by following specific procedures. Maybe because that felt unfair, it gradually fell out of favor, and recently, it seems more common to have enemies that can be defeated faster by following certain steps.

“Now, what will you do, Poyo? Normal attacks won’t work. Give up and use your unique skill to attack, Poyo.”
—Hmm. Unique skill, huh?
Using light magic’s Illusion, I displayed an image similar to the purple effect that appears when Arisa uses her unique skill.
“Finally, you’re serious, Poyo.”
“St-Stop! Are you planning to become the Demon King?”
Tenchang, who was guarding Mito as she chanted the forbidden spell to break the magic circle, shouted in panic.
—Chanting?
Even the hero needs to chant forbidden spells...?
I unleashed a combo of Condense and Laser magic.
Unlike when dismantling a whale, I didn’t do the tasteless thing of using sakura mochi demon as food. Instead, I shredded it into pieces in all directions and incinerated it completely in the Forge.
That earlier effect was a dummy to prevent it from dodging my attack.
Reflection or magic nullification would be troublesome, so I took out insurance.
The sakura mochi demon vanished before Poyo or the screams could echo, but as expected, it wouldn’t end so easily—it reappeared as a translucent figure, reviving itself just like before.
“You with the purple hair! Use forbidden spells instead of high-level magic!”
“That won’t work, Poyo. My magic power is overflowing today, so I can revive endlessly—”
Without letting it finish, I repeated the magic combo.
Tenchang was giving me all sorts of advice, but some things just can’t be helped.
Honestly, if I’d known, I would have secured the forbidden spells that Arisa and Mia can use from the underground Restricted Library beforehand.

Because it mentioned magic power before, I tried absorbing the surrounding magic with Mana Drain before defeating it, as well as hitting it with Magic Disruption at reappearance and just before defeat, but the result was no different.
After about ten tries, its revival wouldn’t stop.

I took the forged Holy Sword from storage and channeled collected magic power into it, pushing it to just before overcharge.
A dazzling blue light began leaking from the forged Holy Sword.
Of course, I also produced the same purple effect as before for show.
“Oh? Dual wielding Holy Swords, Poyo?”
Using Flashstride, I moved beneath the sakura mochi demon’s feet and struck full force with Short Stun, lifting it tens of meters into the air.
Ignoring the annoying Poyo-like screams, I used Earth Shrinking to slip right under it and threw the forged Holy Sword straight upward.
—A dazzling flash of light dyed the surroundings blue.
The forged Holy Sword pierced through the sakura mochi demon effortlessly, tore off a magic circle about 100 meters in radius above, and disappeared into the sky.
It had already collapsed at the start of the throw, so it probably vanished for good.
The pierced sakura mochi demon maintained shape briefly, then transformed into several rings of pink mist before dissolving into the air with the following blast.
I caught sight of Tenchang nearly dropping his jaw in shock.
Such a waste of his good looks.

So it revived again—
And that just now was normal human power. It didn’t use a unique skill.
