Satou here. Sakura mochi tastes exceptional when eaten while enjoying cherry blossoms. With a cup of hot green tea, it’s simply perfect.
However, it seems that in another world, there are sakura mochi that one hesitates to try…

“Arisa! Activate the magic for Tactical Talk.”
“Okay!”
Arisa silently activates the mutual communication magic.
Without waiting, I flew towards the magic circle using skystride.
Since I don’t know what will come out today, I’m dressed in golden armor made of Orichalcum, the same model as Nana’s. Although I can equip it while wearing my silver mask, it’s noisy with all the clinking, so I took the mask off.
“I’m going to destroy that magic circle, but I want everyone to handle the monsters in the Royal Capital.”
Through Tactical Talk, everyone responded with words of agreement.
Listening to them, I kept an eye on the map that took up half my field of vision, monitoring the monster situation in the Royal Capital.
—There are too many to defeat individually.
I’ll clear out the small fry myself.
Using large-scale magic or lasers would cause too much damage to underground passages and houses.
So, I should use magic suited for small targets.
I was about to use the arcane magic Guided Arrow (Remote Arrow) but paused.
Those monsters with the red rope pattern briefly blocked Liza’s spear. It’s better to destroy that defensive barrier first before finishing them off.
I activated the Guided Stun Bullet (Remote Stun).
Confirming the lock-on marks appearing one after another on the map, I unleashed a barrage of Guided Stun Bullets.
Then, I fired Guided Arrows (Remote Arrows) at the same targets.
My plan seemed to work, as about a hundred light points indicating the red rope patterned monsters vanished.
Within about ten seconds before reaching the magic circle, I repeated this twenty times, eliminating most of the small fry on the streets.
Clausolas also split into thirteen blades and was actively dispatched to clear out monsters.
However, monsters that appeared indoors can’t be defeated using the previous pattern.
Moreover, the monsters in the Royal Capital keep spawning continuously, replenishing as soon as some are eliminated.
Clearly, to quell the chaos, we must cut off the source.
I spoke to Arisa over Tactical Talk.
“Arisa, look at the map in the command room. It’s divided into ten segments vertically and horizontally, with the northwest at the top left, right?”
“Wait a moment.”
While waiting for Arisa’s reply, I analyzed the magic circle’s structure.
If it’s a malicious magic circle, it might have traps triggered by destruction, so I can’t just force it apart.
“Yes, confirmed.”
“Label the horizontal axis from A to J and the vertical from 0 to 9.”
I heard Arisa and the others struggling with pens in hand on the other end.
“…Okay, done.”
“Alright, send Tama to D3. A large number of lizard-type monsters have invaded a noble’s mansion. Take care of it, Tama.”
“Got it!”
Listening to Tama’s lively response, I continued my analysis of the magic circle.
“Next is B1. There are large monsters there. The knights are fighting now, but if the front expands, the orphanage will be at risk—”
“Arisa, teleport. Master, permission?”
“Granted.”
I dispatched Nana, showing signs of urgency, to downtown.
—Alright, analysis complete.
It seems the system forcibly draws magic power from the Royal Capital’s source and releases it back into the city.
Despite its large scale, the function is rather simple.
I activated Break Magic to destroy the magic circle.
Leaving behind shards like glass and white light, the magic circle was shattered.
However, the huge magic circle spread over the Royal Capital is only partly destroyed by me at once. Although several hundred meters broke chain-wise, the magic circle itself apparently has a repair function and began restoring from the broken edges.
—This is troublesome.
If only I had the high-level Chain Break Magic or Neutral Magic, it would be a one-shot.
