This is Satou. The episode of the cave seclusion of Amaterasu Omikami is well known. However, I feel that not many people actually know the reason why the goddess hid in the heavenly rock cave.

Now, I’d like to see Nana play the role of Ame-no-Uzume, but if it’s the usual pattern, it’ll probably be Arisa or one of the other little girls.

Without a backward glance, I stood up and walked toward the bedroom door that stood between me and Miss Karina.

I used wind magic to block out sound, then consecutively activated “clairvoyance” and “magic hand” magic to unlock the door from the inside.

It’s scary to think about if this combo were used for crime, but if you can use the three types of magic—wind magic, spatial magic, and arcane magic—you can succeed without even becoming a criminal in the first place.

While mulling over these absurd thoughts, I entered the bedroom.

Laka was flashing a blue light on the table.

It’s rare for Miss Karina to remove Laka. Usually, she keeps it equipped even when she sleeps...

From the flashing pattern, it seems Laka noticed my intrusion, but it doesn’t look like it intends to warn Karina. It remains silent.

Unfortunately—or rather, fortunately—Miss Karina was lying face down on the bed in the same clothes as before, sulking.

No, checking the map showed she wasn’t in a “sleep” state, so she didn’t seem actually asleep.

“Miss Karina, I heard you weren’t feeling well. How are you feeling now?”

I whispered this by her pillow.

Startled, Miss Karina jumped up from the bed and leaned her back against the headboard at the edge of the large bed.

Damn, maybe because I silenced the noise while unlocking the door, I approached on tiptoe...

I’d better play it cool here.

“Did I surprise you?”

Miss Karina’s face was so red it almost hid her tearful eyes, and she was opening and closing her mouth like she wanted to say something.

...Was she really that surprised?

Maybe tears of frustration from losing in battle had moistened her eyes, making her fiercely alluring.

I pictured Ms. Aze in my mind and suppressed my lust.

“Please stay still.”

“...Yes...”

Pretending to wipe her eyes with a handkerchief I took out, I used magic to heal her. Now she should be fine.

Miss Karina had her eyes closed, and Laka shouldn’t be able to see the magic’s activation because my body was blocking the view, so it’s okay.

But even after I finished wiping, Miss Karina kept her eyes closed.

—So vulnerable.

If I were a predatory type of man, by now I’d have been kissed and pushed down already.

“I’ve finished wiping. You can open your eyes now.”

Miss Karina blinked a few times and then looked at me blankly.

When our eyes met, for some reason she pouted.

“Satou, you’re mean!”

The pillow Miss Karina threw flew straight at my face.

“The food has arrived!”

“The fried chicken mountains~?”

Pochi and Tama burst into the room shouting something like that.

I was struggling to handle Miss Karina, who was angry but still radiating a sweet vibe, so honestly, their arrival was a relief.

“Yeah, it smells good.”

“No snacking!”

As I tried to check the quality of the food, Pochi scolded me.

“It’s just a taste test.”

“A taste test is allowed.”

“Tama wants to taste too~”

“But it’s not stingy (yabusaka) when Pochi tastes as well.”

Pochi, that’s “yabusaka” (meaning reluctant or unwilling), not “yabukasa”.

I picked some fried chicken from the top of Tama’s plate and tossed it into both Pochi’s and Tama’s mouths.

Then I took one for myself.

Lulu’s skills have certainly improved. I wonder if she’s even better now than me, who has maxed out my cooking skill?

Since Miss Karina was looking enviously at Pochi and Tama beside me, I also gave her one, placing it gently in her slightly open mouth.

Maybe because the fried chicken was suddenly put in her mouth, Miss Karina protested, mumbling and struggling.

Since she didn’t raise her hand, it seemed like the fried chicken itself wasn’t at fault.
