Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody

Chapter 326: SS: The Blue Cape 🦸‍♂️

Published: September 9, 2025

This is the second post of the day.

"What did you say?! We are 'Pandora'?! Hurry up and bring the best liquor!"

"Y-yes, right away!"

The surrounding customers frowned at the unruly young men.

They seemed to be members of the Pendragon's subordinate organization, who had also made a name for themselves in the Labyrinth City.

Just recently, they had defeated the lord of the layer, and a parade was held, so no one in the tavern was unfamiliar with them.

However, the legendary Baron Pendragon was said to be a virtuous person who built orphanages and provided food to the poor.

Perhaps, as the organization grows too large, such undesirable individuals gather at the lower ranks.

"Hey! You beautiful lady over there! Come here and serve us some drinks!"

"What? You want me to serve you?"

A drunken young man reached out to the splendid twin hills of the beauty, but was stopped by a shimmering scale-patterned shield in front of her.

"Whoa, that hurts... What are you doing?!"

'If you protest what I am doing, the feeling is mutual. I cannot overlook your earlier criminal behavior.'

A mysterious male voice came from the woman.

Of course, it did not seem like a dwarf was hiding.

"Don't go ahead alone again, okay?"

"Seriously! Since she's a baron's young lady, at least travel by carriage."

Hearing the words from what seemed like her attendants, the men who had been yelling moments before scrambled out the back door.

In this country with a long-standing monarchy, being rude to the nobility would definitely result in a guilty verdict, and they would be reduced to criminal slaves.

"Hey, girl over there, want to hang out with me? We’re 'Pandora'!"

"No, please let go. Don’t touch me!"

The fleeing men had approached a plain-looking girl in a corner of the slum away from the tavern.

They forcibly grabbed her hand and pressed her against the wall—a very unconvincing way to flirt.

The street had few passersby, and few dared to confront armed explorers.

The only option might be to contact the guards or the vigilante group.

But it seemed there were some brave souls.

"You guys! Let go of her hand!"

"What’s this? A little rabbit girl? We’re 'Pandora'! If you don’t want to get hurt, disappear!"

"'Pandora,' huh?"

The rabbit humanoid girl dressed in a neat one-piece dress stopped moving at the mention of the word "Pandora" by the men.

Maybe sensing their hesitation, the men continued their abusive speech.

"Yeah! If you keep making noise, we’ll drag you into the labyrinth and leave you in front of monsters!"

"Calling the guards is useless. The Mithril explorers back us up."

"Got it? Now scram! We don’t want smelly female beasts like you!"

Seeing the girl trembling, the men’s desire to dominate was stirred. They added more insults and lewd laughter.

But the next moment, one of the men foamed at the mouth and collapsed to the ground.

The rabbit humanoid girl had disappeared without a trace.

The man holding the town girl’s hand hastily released it and looked around cautiously.

The rabbit humanoid girl, crouched near the man’s feet, thrust a dagger still sheathed into his solar plexus.

Until he fainted, the man’s eyes never caught sight of the girl.

"Huh? Labibi, what are you doing?"

"Ah, Usasa! You came just in time. I caught the fake 'Pandora' we heard about."

"What? These old guys?"

"Yes, I thought they were suspicious because of their navy-blue cloaks, so I followed them."

Since the men were explorers, they avoided being immediately enslaved, instead receiving a fine. But it goes without saying they could never pay a fine for impersonating others’ prestige.

After that, there were no more people pretending to be 'Pandora' in the Labyrinth City.

The next update is scheduled for Saturday, 5/10.

Sorry, I couldn’t find time to write the requested part.

This was written during the first half of chapter 11 and I had forgotten to upload it in the activity report.
