This is Satou. In horror stories, there are scenes where just the head laughs eerily, or even when a curse leaves only the head alive, it won't die and keeps uttering resentful cries.
I can't help but wonder—how do they manage to vocalize without a throat or lungs?

"I'm here to take you down, Van-sama!"
"Semery is as lively as ever today."
A beautiful woman, riding on the back of a giant scorpion and accompanied by a Tyranno and a roper—walking vines serving as limbs—stood in the castle courtyard facing the True Ancestor.
Her pale blue skin and waving black hair intertwined, creating a very alluring sight.
She is the vampire lord who was turned into a vampire princess by True Ancestor Van. The giant scorpion she rides and the monsters guarding her have all been turned into vampires by her.
I was curious why his subordinates were attacking, so I asked, and the casual answer I got was, "It's just a rebellious phase."
For them, this is probably a form of entertainment.
Besides, Semery claims she’s here to defeat the True Ancestor, but her pale blue skin had turned purple.
Despite her words, her eyes bore the gaze of a maiden in love.
"Now then, who will be the vanguard today?"
"Van-sama, me!"
"No, I shall go."
"I want to do it!"
Not only the blonde beauty from before but also a red-haired and a black-haired woman raised their hands, each insisting they wanted to be the first.
It seems she’s not the only battle maniac around.
"My turn."
The quiet white-haired little vampire princess from earlier raised her hand slightly and stepped into the courtyard.
The little girl sliced her wrist with nails extending from her tiny fingertips.
The blood spurting from her wrist writhed as if alive, forming a giant scythe.
...It’s a classic vampire ability, somewhat cliché, but truly a fantastic sight.
Semery, on the other hand, carried a greatsword made from monster materials.
"Hmph, the white princess as vanguard? I thought that chubby blonde would come out first."
"I-I'm not fat! Just a bit plump!"
Semery called the glamorous blonde "fat," but though not skinny, she certainly didn’t look fat.
Ignoring the exchange, the little girl advanced into the courtyard and thrust the scythe toward Semery.
"Our vanguard is Tyrannon. Go, Tyrannon!"
I felt a slight kinship with Semery’s somewhat awkward naming.
Tyranno spun on one foot right there, tail slamming into the little girl.
Despite being a six-meter-tall giant, Tyranno was surprisingly agile.
The little girl easily sliced through Tyranno’s tail with the scythe.
But it seemed expected—blood sprayed from the severed tail wound and suddenly burst into flames.
Just before the flamethrower-like burning blood soaked her body, the little girl transformed into mist to avoid it.
However, she seemed well aware of vampire abilities, because the blood spray was a special type designed to burn mist-forms.
The watching vampire princesses held their breath, and Semery’s smile deepened.
"...Too naive," murmured the True Ancestor.
My AR display showed the little girl had taken minimal damage.
From the shadows beneath Tyranno, the little girl emerged and swiftly cut off both its legs.
Apparently, the mist was a decoy; her true body had melted into the shadows to move unseen.
This was not standard shadow magic but the species-specific ability called "Shadow Walk." Only a few, including the True Ancestor and the little girl, possessed it.
It seemed to be an ability only usable by aged vampires, which Semery, at 170 years old, did not have.
Tyranno, having lost mobility, was helplessly torn to pieces and turned to ash.
It seems that vampires who exhaust their stamina (HP) turn to ash.
"Winner, White Princess Luna."
The quiet little girl clenched her small fist and silently rejoiced.
She gracefully approached the True Ancestor and offered her cheek. When he lightly kissed it, her lips curled into a faint smile.
Quite cute.

"Our next is Roper! White Princess can’t fight consecutively, you know?"
Just as the little girl, still smiling, stepped forward in the courtyard, Semery stopped her with an irritated tone.
