Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody

Chapter 274: Mithril Certificate (4) 🗝️

This is Satou. When I think of a school observation day, it usually brings to mind a proud moment for the children. But as an adult, I realize it's also a place where parents compete for appearances. The teachers must have had stomachaches trying to balance creating moments for the kids to shine.

"Whee, it's Poah!"

"Siya, long time no see~?"

Pochi and Tama raised their hands in greeting when they saw the two I brought to the villa. These two helped out during the floor master hunt.

Unfortunately, not as fighters, but to pad our numbers. I had them each lead five trolls, ten spriggans, and ten leprechauns, respectively. Earlier, I disguised myself as a plain middle-aged man to guide them to the East Guild and help with their registrations. Since all these were rare races around here, they all disguised themselves as members of the human tribe. The trolls' size made it impossible, so they disguised themselves as the more common little giants to blend in.

Except for the two elves, everyone is staying at a private inn on the surface.

It’s the high-class inn where we stayed when we first came to Labyrinth City. There was no other inn where the trolls could stay. Since I covered all the meals and drinks, they should be enjoying human tribe cuisine by now. I'm a bit worried the drunken trolls might accidentally break the inn.

"Hey, Pochi! Been well?! I’ll give you some training later! Get the wooden sword ready!"

"Yes! Understood!"

Pochi’s master, Ms. Portmea, grinned holding the Blue Rose Sword she had gifted earlier.

Pochi rushed back to the villa, happily raising two Unblemished Wooden Swords (Soft Swords) overhead. Looks like they're eager to start training right away.

"And Tama, you doing well?"

"Swift and smooth~? Ninja, ninja."

Tama’s master, Mr. Shishitouya, is an elf wearing a traditional robe. His calm manner gives the impression of a seasoned fighter, but his youthful appearance makes him look like a middle schooler trying too hard, which is somewhat endearing. Because of his boyish looks, he’s one of Arisa’s favorite elves.

The two of them seemed relaxed and showed no intention to start training, so I took them to meet Ms. Gurgapoya and Mr. Yusek, Liza’s masters, and Ms. Keriul and Ms. Gimasarua, Nana’s masters, who were waiting at the villa. Like the two I brought today, they each registered their own disguised units of 10 to 15 people at the guild.

The 50 people I brought earlier were beastmen living in the Forest of Boruenan. After entering the labyrinth, I teleported them to Ivy Manor, where they enjoyed the feast prepared by Leliril.

"Oh! Siya, wasn’t Poah with you?"

"If it’s Poah, she said she’d spar with Ms. Pochi and then left."

"That battle fiend can be quite troublesome."

"Indeed, indeed."

From the perspective of a gentle person like me, these five masters are the same kind of people.

"Still, no one can match Ms. Liza."

"No, Mr. Keriul is the toughest I’ve ever faced."

"Except for Satou?"

"The master is in a league of his own."

After their serious sparring match, Liza and the dwarf Mr. Keriul made such remarks.

Of course, this 'serious match' didn't involve crossing swords.

They were actually doing a meat tasting in a corner of the living room, not sake tasting.

Liza held some up for me, but I don’t have an exceptional palate. After improving my cooking skills, I became more sensitive to flavors, but I can’t compare to those two who can tell origin and gender from taste.

They just happen to know because of their appraisal skills and AR display.

They weren’t the only ones immersed in their own world.

"I see. The things we need to watch out for are magic nullification (neutral magic) and the rampage (stampede) state after stamina is depleted."

"Yes, that's right. Our master was troubled by those two points as well."

Arisa was getting a lecture about precautions when fighting the floor master from Mr. Seol of the shadow tribe. When Mr. Torazayuuya was in Labyrinth City, he was the scout for his party. I heard he even participated in the floor master hunt, so I asked him to come.
