Note From Developer: I’m a big fan of Chinese web novels, but I often came across great stories with poor translations. That’s why I started this website! My goal is to make this the best web novel translation site out there. If you have any suggestions or feedback, feel free to reach out on Discord or Instagram.

This is Satou. Nowadays, since save data is stored online and saved automatically, I can't use the old reset trick anymore, which feels a bit lonely. There's something nice about resetting, you know?
◇
“What’s going on? Could it be that you can reset?”
“You can, you know? Didn’t I tell you?”
Of course, this was news to me.
I have plenty of skill points to spare, but without a clear path to leveling up, whether or not I can reset is pretty important.
“How do you do it?”
“You acquire the ‘Reset’ skill from the skill list and execute it. It returns all your points from skills except for unique skills or gifts.”
How convenient.
And yet, how unfair. Since I can’t select from the list, this skill is out of my reach.
“Hey, don’t make that face.”
She still remains unfazed by my poker face skill.
“Even though it’s called a reset, it’s not all-powerful.”
If it were, you could change your skill setup every time you fought. Come to think of it, the anime “Esper Seno-tan” had something similar.
“Each time you use it, you lose 5 to 20% of your skill points. And there’s no way to recover them.”
Even if I could use it, losing 155 to 620 points is a huge price. No wonder Arisa hasn’t used it so far.
“Also, there’s another reason I don’t want to use it.”
When I asked what it was, she just said, “It’s super painful.”
If that’s the case, resetting here would be a nuisance to the neighbors. I was about to prepare some painkillers, but according to the saga hero information, using medicine increases the amount of points lost.
“Do you know a place where it’s okay to make noise?”
“Wait a moment.”
I cast the newly learned wind magic—Secret Meeting Space, “Secret Field.”
Now, no sound will leak out for several hours.
“I cast the Secret Meeting Space spell. No sound will escape now.”
“Then we can do all sorts of naughty things.”
“I’ll cancel it, okay?”
Arisa really never changes.
◇
I let the exhausted Arisa rest on my lap.
When executing the reset skill, at her request, I held her in my arms on my lap, hugging her tight. She screamed and clawed my back, struggling wildly in my arms. I worried her purple hair might bleach white, but that was unfounded. As soon as the reset finished, she lost all strength and fainted, so I laid her on the sofa with my lap as a pillow...
“Arisa, if you keep sexually harassing me, I’ll stop the lap pillow.”
Despite how much pain she was in, she’s tough. She even pretended to roll over, trying to subtly change position.
“So, did it go well?”
“Well, yeah. I was a bit short on points, but I gave up mental magic and light magic and got Spatial Magic Level 6 instead.”
Arisa felt accomplished, but I had to lay down a rule first.
“Arisa, this is an order. No barging into the bathroom or peeping during changing time unless it’s an emergency.”
“Ugh, at least catch me in the act then! A maiden deserves a little reward~~”
So she was thinking about that all along.
◇
Taking Arisa’s request to use magic freely, we headed to the ruins of the underground labyrinth. I informed Liza that we were going out.
Since the duke’s subordinates were staking out the original teleportation device and the vertical shaft I dug, we made a passage to the underground labyrinth from another location.
“The king’s ears are donkey ears.”
I get the sentiment, but what if a patrolling guard sees us? Of course, there’s no one around.
“Enough nonsense, let’s go.”
I carried Arisa down. The connected floor wasn’t the one where we fought the Demon King, but a different area.
“Haah, I thought I was going to die.”
Rude. I adjusted the speed properly, you know.
Since it would be scary if large magic affected the surface here, we went down about three levels.
“What’s this place? It looks like a labyrinth, but there aren’t any monsters.”
“It’s labyrinth ruins.”
“Oh~ It really feels like a place where a Demon King might appear.”
Huh?
What are you talking about?
