This is not from Satou’s perspective.
Correction made on 8/12 for typos.
Pochi will never forget.
The day she was given her name.
◇
“Princess, we have come to escort you.”
Standing in the moonlight were two men resembling members of the dog tribe, dressed in silver clothing. A kind-looking man with long hair spoke to me.
“I have no intention of leaving this planet.”
“But, Your Highness!”
“Wait, Doberman. First, listen to the princess.”
“However, Shiva!”
The red-haired man tried to press forward, but the long-haired man held him back.
“Please explain. Is this undeveloped planet more important to you than your home world?”
“I have a precious partner. For the sake of the child in my womb, I cannot leave this planet.”
Still seated, I gently rubbed my belly, which was not noticeable from outside.
“Ridiculous! The great priestess of La Anubis would never bear a child with a lower life form!”
“Is it really true, Princess?”
To the two panicked men, I nodded firmly.
◇
Pochi will never forget.
The taste of dried meat she ate for the first time. The joy of the barbecue festival shared together.
She will never forget.
◇
“Are you absolutely sure you want to go?”
“Yes. I am not just the priestess of La Anubis—I am Pochi Pendragon.”
Yes, this body is precious, shared with that person.
As long as I have these two Holy Demonic Swords he forged for me, I won’t let the Demon King run wild.
“We are coming with you, you know?”
“Bound together until the end, huh?”
Before I could leave, Karina and Tama blocked my way.
Just like old times, I high-fived the two of them and headed to the battlefield.
Now, let’s board the World Tree’s ship that Mia prepared and storm into the Demon World!
Liza, please watch us from beyond the stars. We will surely settle the score for you.
◇
“Oh? So, I’m supposed to be dead?”
“Ah, no, you’re not supposed to see that. It’s forbidden.”
Liza accidentally saw the draft of the novel Arisa and I were writing together.
“I never intended for Pochi to die. But, but Arisa—”
“So, Pochi blames Arisa, huh?”
“Ah, no, no, that’s not it at all!”
Someone said the story would be more exciting if someone died, so I ended up doing it. I feel bad, so please forgive me.
Today, I was prepared for no meat at dinner, but Liza still made sure to include it as usual.
Liza really is kind.
Next time I kill someone in the story, it will be Arisa. She’ll surely laugh and forgive me, right? Right?
This is just a joke chapter.
The real interlude will be released on schedule.
I wrote this as a Tanabata special, but only realized after finishing that it has nothing to do with Tanabata or Princess Kaguya.
I secretly wrote a playful Pochi short story in the activity report, so if you like Pochi, please check that out too.
