Chapter 368: Tales of the Gods (Part One) ✨

Published: August 25, 2025

The next morning.

"Kyoon!"

Rino, the cannonball rhinos, and I went out for a morning walk to gather herbs and fruits from the Tree Sea before returning home. However, Rino was still full of energy, running around the mansion grounds.

"Rino, you're still so lively. I guess the Tree Sea is more comfortable to live in after all?"

"The climate here isn't a problem, but it's more fun to run around freely here."

"I see... I guess the dimension home was too cramped after all."

"Hmm, Rino doesn't seem too scared outside the Tree Sea. Once she gets used to it, I think it's fine to let her roam freely. She might still be a bit scared of crowded places, but since Ryoma manages this land, no strangers will come in, so it should be fine, right?"

"Yeah, from now on, let's do that. Also, while she's here, I'll let her roam freely outside. It's safe within the premises, right?"

"If raptors or something come in, I'll put Rino to sleep or chase them away. If Rino goes outside the premises, I'll let Ryoma know immediately. Rino is still a kid, but she's one of the stronger magical beasts around here, so as long as we rush to help, nothing serious should happen!"

Watching Rino through the warehouse door reminded me of the leader we fought when we first met—the huge body, armor-like skin and fur, and the power of his charge combined. Without Mr. Glen's cooperation, that battle would have been much tougher.

"Alright, this is the last one!"

"Thanks, now the herbs are properly preserved."

"Now we can make the medicine written in the book!"

Yesterday, with Korumi’s help, I finished organizing the books left by my grandmother in no time. Korumi was referring to the collection of medicinal recipes. While it takes time to study research materials, the recipe book only summarized the uses and preparation methods of the medicines, so it wasn’t too time-consuming.

In particular, the recipe book, which seemed to have been developed after grandmother moved to the Tree Sea, contained many useful, unknown magical potions, even just from a quick glance.

For example, there was the “moisture-gathering herb.” This pill reduces humidity by gathering moisture from the air and condensing it. Just like I used snow slimes and ice slimes as dehumidifiers, grandmother seemed to use this pill to improve life in the humid Tree Sea.

There were also other items like “Drying Pigment Solution,” a thin coating that protects valuable literature and old documents from moisture and insects, preventing ink from blurring; and “Dehydration Powder,” which mixed into mud prevents ground subsidence caused by muddy terrain and soil erosion.

Moreover, while organizing the books, I realized that grandmother was quite meticulous. The medicines in the recipe book came with detailed development processes and experimental records, all compiled as research documents and stored separately.

These research materials are unnecessary if you only want to make the medicines but are priceless treasures and excellent learning materials for anyone interested in developing new medicines. Although I don’t have such high ambitions, I still find it extremely interesting.

Just from a quick read, there were many contents that could be applied to new drug development, and I wanted to start experiments immediately... but before that,

"Well then, I'm heading out for a bit."

"But it’ll only be a moment here?"

"That’s true."

Laughing with Korumi, I took out the book of Divine Artifacts from the Item Box. Since I had gathered enough mana to visit the divine realm, I was going to report the successful cursed arts I performed to summon Korumi, along with a share of fresh fruit.

When I infused mana and intent into the book, it was enveloped in the usual light. The members present today... oh? It felt like a reunion after a while.

"Welcome back."

"Good morning, Ryoma-kun."

"I thought you’d come soon."

Gain, Kufo, and Lurutia greeted me. Behind them was Meltrise quietly drinking tea at a large low table, Kiriluel raising his right hand while eating a chunk of steak, and Seerelipta slumped over, exhausted.
