Chapter 188: Epilogue: The State of the Gods 🌌

Today, two chapters posted simultaneously.

This is the first chapter.

Three days after the splendid wedding... Mr. Fay, Ox—who recently joined our staff—and I faced the day to leave the Duke's household, bidding farewell to the Duke and Duchess and all the servants as we prepared to return to Gimul.

But before leaving,

"Good work~"

"I was watching! It was a wonderful wedding."

"Here, a quick drink on arrival."

"What kind of snacks do you want?"

"So you’ve been drinking after all..."

When we visited the divine realm from the church in Gaunago, as expected, right before us were Kufo, Lurutia, Tekun, and Gain. The normally pure white space was now lined with food, bottles, and barrels of sake, with signs of a grand drinking party everywhere...

"The wedding ended long ago, and you’ve been drinking nonstop for three days?"

"Oh? Has it been that long?"

"We don’t really pay attention to time much~"

"No matter how much we drink, it doesn’t harm us, and if something fun happens, we just keep drinking until we’re sick of it!"

"Ha ha ha! It’s only been three days!"

"This is crazy... By the way, where is Wilieris?"

I had thought Wilieris would be here with them since she blessed the two of them at the wedding...

"Oh, Wilieris went traveling with Glimp."

"Glimp... isn’t he the god of agriculture?"

"Yeah. And he’s Wilieris's husband."

"Those two are always so close. Since it was a great wedding, they said they’d go around the world, visiting lands and crops in the newlywed mood."

"I’ve lost count of how many honeymoons they’ve had!"

"Near the Reefall Kingdom, where Ryoma is, it’s harvest season, while other countries and continents are just sowing. So... from this winter into next year, crops might grow better! After all, the goddess of the earth and the god of agriculture are inspecting everything~"

"…"

Though I knew they were gods, I was reminded again not to judge their actions by human standards.

As I drank from the cup handed to me, Kufo suddenly spoke up as if recalling something.

"...Wait? Three days? Ryoma came here from the church in Gaunago, right? Weren’t you supposed to leave right after the ceremony?"

"That was the plan, but not just Kufo—everyone. We all blessed the two at the ceremony, didn’t we?"

"Oh! So how about it? Didn’t the ceremony get lively?"

As Tekun said, the ceremony was indeed lively.

Both the bride and groom and the guests made a huge fuss about what was the happiest ceremony ever.

It was very heartwarming, but... it got so lively that many things happened.

Listing them one by one… first, the party went far beyond the scheduled end time with nonstop revelry.

Also, the venue was originally going to be torn down after use, but the sentiment was, "The gods blessed the couple like never before! It would be unthinkable to destroy such a venue!" So the venue was spared.

With that decision, it was proposed that the venue should be reinforced to last longer. As the person responsible for setting up the venue, I stayed until the reinforcement was finished.

Also, the fact that I had made statues of the gods spread among the servants, and many asked me to make their own for blessings.

"Oh, it turned out like that?"

"I could have declined or left it to others, but everyone was so kind.

Besides, mass-producing statues was good practice for earth magic, and when reinforcing the venue, I learned magic for reinforcing tunnels like in mines. Most importantly, I had discussions with Mr. Alafral, who was managing the ceremony, about pharmaceuticals and even received advice. The stay got extended, but it was rewarding."

"That’s good."

Ah, speaking of making statues, there was something I wanted to ask.

"A 'statue craftsman.'"

"I suddenly noticed this title added to my status board. What’s that about?"

"Oh, that’s exactly what it says. We recognized you as a 'statue craftsman.'"

"The statues we have in circulation are, well, like 'doujinshi' in Japan."

"...That’s quite an analogy."

"Ryoma, you meet and talk with us and make statues as you see, right? Normal people can’t do that, so ordinary craftsmen have to fill in with legends or imagination. So even the finest statues to people often look unimpressive to us."
