The moment the council member spoke, everyone in the room was taken aback for a moment, then they began buzzing with discussions. This council member's proposal did not receive immediate rebuttal, as many present felt it was feasible.
It sounded ridiculous at first: they were too afraid to approach Zhan Yue to ask him to request Zhao Hai’s assistance, yet they dared to ask him to invite the Thunder Clan and the Barbarian Tribe to take action. This seemed contradictory, but in fact, it was not contradictory at all.
To be precise, these members of the Winged Horse Tribe feared Zhao Hai, not Zhan Yue. Without Zhao Hai, Zhan Yue would not be able to hold his position.
At this moment, a general suddenly said, “Will Zhan Yue agree? And has he already informed Zhao Hai of this news?”
Zhan Fenglei narrowed his eyes and replied, “Don't worry, Zhan Yue won’t do that. For such a long time, he hasn't let many people enter Zhao Hai’s space. He would have no face to tell Zhao Hai about this matter. Besides, this time we are asking him to convey this message to the Thunder Clan and the Barbarian Tribe. Given Zhan Yue’s attitude towards the clan members, he will definitely do it. As long as we resolve the crisis within the tribe, Zhan Yue will naturally not inform Zhao Hai.”
Upon hearing Zhan Fenglei say this, the people in the room were momentarily stunned, then they looked at Zhan Fenglei with smiles. Zhan Fenglei was right; given Zhan Yue’s character, he wouldn’t neglect a matter of such importance to the entire Winged Horse Tribe. As long as he took charge and invited the Thunder Clan and the Barbarian Tribe, they would not fear dealing with the O’Neill family.
Zhan Fenglei glanced at everyone and said, “This matter cannot be conveyed by one or two people. We must all go together to put pressure on Zhan Yue; he will have no choice but to act.”
Everyone in the room agreed, and Zhan Fenglei then stood up and declared loudly, “Let’s go, everyone, to find Zhan Yue. Let’s see if he will help!”
After he finished speaking, he was the first to walk out, followed closely by the others as they headed towards the royal palace of the Winged Horse Tribe to find Zhan Yue.
Before long, they arrived at the royal palace, which was now devoid of guards. The entire palace appeared eerily quiet, making what was usually a bright palace look like a haunted house.
Zhan Fenglei knew Zhan Yue was likely in the study, so he led the group straight there. Upon arriving at the study, Zhan Fenglei saw two members of the Winged Horse Tribe standing outside. Recognizing them as Zhan Fang's loyal subordinates, Zhan Fenglei felt a surge of happiness; their presence meant that Zhan Fang and Zhan Yue were definitely inside.
When the two Winged Horse Tribe members saw Zhan Fang approach, they exchanged glances but did not speak. Zhan Fenglei walked up to the door of the study and said to them, “Tell Zhan Yue that I’m here.” His tone indicated he held no respect for Zhan Yue or Zhan Fang.
The two standing at the study door exchanged a look of anger at the sight of Zhan Fenglei. One of them said, “Sorry, Vice Chairman, the clan leader is not in the study.”
Hearing them call him Vice Chairman made Zhan Fenglei's expression darken slightly, but he did not immediately react. Instead, he looked at them and asked, “Really not in?”
The two nodded simultaneously. Zhan Fenglei snorted coldly and stepped forward to push open the door of the study. Normally, the two would have stopped him, but today they remained motionless, watching as he opened the door.
When Zhan Fenglei saw that the two did not move, his expression changed as he entered the empty study.
His face shifted again, but he quickly regained his composure and asked the two, “Where did Zhan Yue go?”
The two shook their heads simultaneously. Zhan Fenglei's eyes flashed with coldness. He was acutely aware that it was a critical moment for the entire Winged Horse Tribe’s survival. There was no time for politeness, so he turned to the two and said, “Tell me where Zhan Yue went, or don’t blame me for being rude.”
