Lu Xiujing finished speaking and returned to the peak of the mountain. By this time, dusk had fallen, and he had no choice but to spend the night at the mountain top. He then curled up his legs and entered a deep meditation to rest.
The next day, as dawn broke, a red sun rose from the east. At that moment, Lu Xiujing suddenly saw many immortals flying in the sky. Gradually, he recognized that the leader was none other than his master.
The elder sighed and said, "Recently, Li Qinglian has finally understood the reason for this. It’s not just because Li Qinglian has cultivated many times in the past, nor is it solely because he once governed the earthly environment from above. This state of mind primarily comes from his own experience of using his feet, either lightly or heavily, to touch the ancient spiritual energies."
"Youth, have you ever seen a person who speaks but doesn't keep their word? My son promised to wait for me, but he didn't. He is leaving, and how can one act like this?"
Thus, Lu Xiujing traveled through the north and south, nearly traversing every mountain and river. This journey brought fulfillment to his heart and made him understand the meaning of life even more.
In this way, the elder became "paralyzed" at the Lu family’s home. The couple treated the elder as they would their own parents, perhaps even better. Yet, the elder seemed ungrateful, often making things difficult for them, but they bore no resentment.
Seeing this, Lu Xiujing hurriedly knelt down and bowed repeatedly, only to hear the immortal say, "You have now achieved success; it is time to go!"
Of course, everything depends on the choices of each being. Every life is choosing its own future. The principles of Buddhism and Taoism have been completely revealed to everyone; to believe or not, and how to choose, is the freedom of every life.
During the late Yuan Dynasty, in the northeast, at Changbai Mountain, beside the Heavenly Lake, there was a household with the surname Lu. In this family, there was a couple and an elder who was "paralyzed" on the bed. This elder was not their parent but was encountered by the male head of the family while traveling afar.
Lu Xiujing thought that perhaps his master had matters to attend to and wouldn’t be coming for a few days. He decided to wait for him at the halfway point of the mountain. While on his way, Lu Xiujing met an old lady who had a face full of sores and was hunched over. Upon seeing him, she shouted: "Of course, various cultivation stories throughout history have laid the foundation for the spread of the fundamental universal method in the human world; this is their true role in history."
This stunned the couple, making them feel that the elder's background was extraordinary.
This precious bottle could change form at will, providing whatever was needed. It instructed Lu Xiujing to travel the seas, especially to walk through four places: the desert south of Tianshan (the Tarim Basin), Dian Lake in Yunnan, Wuzhishan in Hainan, and Penglai Island in Shandong.
By the way, I can tell you that I am now 103 years old; I attained enlightenment in Taoist cultivation at the age of forty, and I have since been seeking a good disciple to pass on my cultivation skills.
Of course, the experiences of this life will influence Li Qinglian's next life, affecting his consciousness and giving rise to the culture of cultivation in the human world, accumulating blessings for future generations.
Traveling the world, making the world one’s home. Returning to the essence, free from burdens.
"It is time for me to reveal my true self. I originally had no flaws; for so many years, I just wanted to test your hearts. Now it seems you two are indeed not bad. From today on, I will teach Xiujing the cultivation skills."
It is worth mentioning that within the universe, there exist forms of cultivation from both Buddhism and Taoism. Each form encompasses countless methods, and these methods cannot be mixed; you must focus on one.
Thus, Lu Xiujing packed a simple bag, took the precious bottle, and with firm belief in cultivation and his master, set off on his journey. He faced hardships, experiencing both hunger and lodging difficulties.
