Campra looked at Zhao Hai and smiled slightly, saying, "It seems that you are indeed different from ordinary people. Most would yell for blood when they see us, but you have not. This truly surprises me."
Zhao Hai smiled back at Campra and replied, "It's nothing special. I am a dark mage, and I deal with undead beings almost every day. I see no reason to shout for blood against you."
Upon hearing Zhao Hai's words, Campra and his companions were momentarily stunned. Then Campra turned to the Skull King Guli and asked, "Bone, is it true that he was the one you fought last time? How can he claim to be a dark mage?"
Guli tilted his head in confusion, looking at Zhao Hai. He couldn't understand what was going on either. Zhao Hai smiled slightly and said, “There’s no reason to doubt. I’m a dark mage, a warrior, and also an aberrant mage. Additionally, I can cast spells from other schools of magic as well. There’s nothing strange about this. At my level of power, I can freely convert the energy within me. Can’t you do the same?”
The three shook their heads in unison. The Lich looked at Zhao Hai with a wry smile and said, "You may not know this, but in the Dark Realm, there is only one type of energy—dark energy. So, there, everyone, whether a mage or a warrior, only uses dark energy."
Zhao Hai nodded and continued, "You three still haven’t told me what you want to learn from me."
Upon hearing this, Campra said immediately, "Sir, we genuinely want to cooperate with you this time. However, before we discuss cooperation, we need to have a proper conversation. Would you agree?"
Zhao Hai smiled slightly and replied, "Of course, I agree. There's no reason to disagree. Let’s not sit here any longer; let’s go down and sit."
After saying that, Zhao Hai landed on the ground and waved his hand, causing four stone benches to appear suddenly. Zhao Hai sat on one of the benches while Campra and the others also landed. Guli and Jiang Zheng sat on separate benches, while Campra floated on one.
Seeing this situation, Zhao Hai couldn’t help but smile.
After everyone was seated, Campra looked at Zhao Hai and said, "Sir, the reason we came to seek your cooperation is because of the spatial rift. That rift is our hope."
Zhao Hai looked at the Lich in confusion. The Lich looked back at him and sighed, "Sir, you know that we are all undead beings. We have always lived in the Underworld."
In fact, initially, the undead beings in the Underworld didn't enjoy fighting as much as they do now. At first, there were no disputes among the undead beings. After they appeared, they simply drifted around in the Underworld because they understood, "We possess endless life; why should we fight? We could live here for thousands or even tens of thousands of years. During such extended periods, even if we practice just a little each day, we would eventually become masters. So no one would fight, nor would they practice in such a manner."
Zhao Hai stared blankly at Campra, doubting whether this Lich had lost his mind. Undead beings don't like to fight? The world of dark beings would be peaceful? Wasn't this nonsense? But then he thought about it and realized that, being a Lich, it was natural for him to speak like a ghost. Why would he expect him to speak rationally?
Noticing Zhao Hai's disbelief, Campra sighed softly and said, "Sir, you may think I’m talking nonsense, but what I say is the truth. We three are the longest-lived undead beings in the Underworld. At this point, I can't even remember how old I am. I only recall that when I first awakened, I was just a small Lich, drifting in the Underworld, learning things from some elder Liches, living happily. The other two were the same; one was just a small gray skeleton, and the other was merely an elementary zombie. We met back then."
As he spoke, a hint of nostalgia appeared on Campra's face, reminiscent of those beautiful times, much like an elder recalling his childhood.
After quite some time, Campra sighed and turned to Zhao Hai, saying, "But I don't know when it started, suddenly there arose some undead beings in the Underworld who were born with memories. These undead beings began to fight with the original undead beings, slaughtering them and ultimately absorbing their energy into their bodies to enhance their own power through this method."
