Zhao Hai listened calmly to Brewell's words. There was nothing in what Brewell said that he didn't understand; it was quite straightforward, even mentioning some hidden rules of business!
Such hidden rules exist everywhere. Yanqing City is an industrial base where factories make substantial profits; this is something that nearly everyone on the Mecha Continent knows. Moreover, almost all industrial bases have some connection to military industry, to varying degrees.
In a place like this, how could the O'Neill family not control it? Would they trust outsiders to manage it? Absolutely not. That would be like handing over their sword used for war!
Because of this, nearly all large factories in Yanqing City are controlled by the O'Neill family. Even if they aren’t directly controlled by the O'Neill family, they are still managed by vassal families that are absolutely loyal to them. Only in this way would they feel at ease.
After Brewell finished speaking, he quietly observed Zhao Hai. He noticed Zhao Hai sitting there with a calm expression, seemingly contemplating his words, which made him feel a bit nervous.
Although Brewell was from a headhunting company, he wasn’t exactly part of it. He was someone with talent but without opportunities to showcase it. The headhunting company recognized his abilities and, after obtaining his consent, kept his information on file. Whenever someone sought a professional manager, they would give Brewell a chance.
Of course, this opportunity wasn’t offered to just anyone. If they didn’t meet Brewell's requirements, he wouldn’t be introduced.
The company looking for a headhunter this time was a hotel manager, and this hotel was quite famous in Yanqing City. The headhunting company didn’t dare offend them, so they asked Brewell to step in.
Brewell had also been looking for a chance to showcase his talents, so after introducing Zhao Hai’s situation to the headhunting company, he came to meet Zhao Hai with a mindset of trying it out.
After thinking this through, Zhao Hai turned to Brewell and asked, “Mr. Brewell, I’d like to know how much startup capital I would need if I wanted you to help me open a factory?”
Brewell was momentarily stunned by Zhao Hai's question but then felt a surge of joy. He was clearly prepared for this question, so he quickly responded, “At least three million gold coins, and a maximum of five million gold coins would suffice.”
Zhao Hai nodded, and in a deep voice, he said, “Mr. Brewell, I am very satisfied with your answer. I can give you five million gold coins to help me establish a factory. I won’t manage the factory directly; I will leave it in your hands. I will give you ten percent of the factory shares. These shares are original stock; I won’t interfere in the business operations. However, at times I will use this factory to purchase some items for me. I hope you can do this well. Do you have the confidence to do it?”
Brewell was stunned. He completely understood Zhao Hai's meaning. Zhao Hai was saying that he would invest five million gold coins to open a factory, then leave everything to Brewell while also giving him ten percent of the shares. The rest would be entrusted to Brewell, and Zhao Hai would just wait for the dividends.
Is there such a good deal? Brewell felt as if he were dreaming. These professional managers, even if they were managers of large companies, merely earned a high salary. However, if what Zhao Hai said was true, he would not just be an employee but a shareholder of the company. In any company, ten percent of original shares was not a small number; it was like a pie falling from the sky.
Brewell looked at Zhao Hai with shining eyes and asked, “Is what you said true, sir?”
Zhao Hai smiled slightly, “I never joke about such matters. If you agree, we can sign an agreement right away, and then I’ll transfer the money to your account. The rest will be your responsibility; I won’t interfere. How does that sound?”
Brewell looked deeply at Zhao Hai and replied, “Alright. Please rest assured, sir. Since you trust me so much, I will dedicate my life to this.”
