Chapter 938: I Will Definitely Find You!

Aks looked nervously at the crack; he had no idea what the outcome of this battle would be. However, one thing he was certain of was that the situation on the battlefield was ever-changing, and no one knew what might happen next. Although George had done an excellent job with the battle plan, the events occurring on the battlefield were beyond anyone's expectations.

Aks was not inexperienced in combat; in fact, he had experienced numerous battles during his adventures and could be considered battle-hardened. However, he had never commanded such a large-scale operation before. Yet, having participated in fights, he was acutely aware that anything could happen on the battlefield.

George was just as tense as Aks. If this attack did not go smoothly, the impact on Aks would be minimal as he could reorganize for a second attack. But for George, it would be a disaster, as he would lose Aks's trust. For someone like George, without any background, it would mean the end of his position as the commander of this reconnaissance team, and he might not even be able to keep that.

Under their gaze, those mechas and battle vehicles charged into the crack, causing Aks and George’s breaths to momentarily halt. After a while, they managed to regain their composure, yet their eyes remained fixed on the crack.

A minute passed with no sounds of battle from within the crack. Five minutes passed; still, there were no sounds of combat. Ten minutes, half an hour passed, and yet still, there was no noise coming from inside.

Unable to contain himself any longer, Aks turned to George and said, "George, send someone to check what's going on. Why is there no sound at all? Are we conducting a silent attack right now?"

George agreed and was about to make arrangements when suddenly a black dot flew out from the crack. It was a mecha, and George's actions halted immediately as he quickly arranged for Aks's protection.

Seeing George's reaction, Aks nodded slightly, but his attention was mostly on the mecha. He truly wanted to know what happened inside the crack and why there was no sound at all.

Before long, the mecha flew to a point 500 meters from Aks's perimeter, was intercepted, and then landed. The mecha opened, and a person jumped out. After confirming his identity, the person was brought before Aks.

Aks looked at the individual, a mere messenger, and the messenger saluted before addressing Aks, "Reporting, young clan leader, from the Lion Assault Team, second squad messenger Bill, on the orders of the captain, to report the battle situation to the young clan leader."

Aks nodded and said, "Go ahead, what happened inside? Why is there no sound at all?"

Bill replied immediately, "Reporting to the young clan leader, there was no need for battle inside. We did not encounter any enemies. We have already passed through the crack’s mist, but the circumstances inside are somewhat unexpected. The captain would like to invite the young clan leader to take a look; once you go in, you'll understand what’s going on."

Aks was taken aback but then nodded, saying, "Alright, I'll go take a look."

George promptly added, "Young master, may I ask a couple of questions?"

Aks turned to George, smiling, "George, what is it? Ask away."

After thanking Aks, George looked at Bill and inquired, "Bill, have you not found any enemies, or have the enemies already been eliminated by us? Also, did you ensure the young master’s safety while inviting him inside? Is it absolutely safe in there?"

Bill replied, "We cannot be certain whether all enemies have been eliminated or if there were none at all. The terrain inside has been completely devastated by the magic cannon, so it’s hard to tell. However, it has been completely secured and is absolutely safe, so please rest assured."

George nodded and turned to Aks, saying, "Young master, I'll arrange for a battle vehicle. Let’s use the modified Tiger-type Battle Vehicle to send you in."

Aks was very satisfied with George's performance. He nodded, "Good, go arrange that. By the way, come in with me; I'm curious to see what could have caused them such surprise!"
