Undead beings taking the initiative is not an uncommon occurrence in the Ark Continent. There have been past instances where undead beings became the masters, overpowering their original controllers. Although they are subject to certain laws, if they possess overwhelming strength, they can break these constraints and assert dominance.
When Zhao Hai and his companions saw the undead beings worshiping the two towering figures, they immediately thought of the possibility of the undead beings taking control.
However, Zhao Hai and his companions were puzzled. They couldn't understand why this was happening. The black mist from the Underworld could transform people into undead beings, but typically, these undead beings lack intelligence. Furthermore, there are several types of undead beings. The most common type, like the ones Zhao Hai was using, involves directly transforming recently deceased individuals into undead beings. Because they died not long ago, their flesh can still be attracted by their bones, resulting in undead beings with strong combat capabilities. Of course, this is under normal circumstances; Zhao Hai's undead beings do not fit this description.
The second type involves using the bones of long-dead individuals to create undead beings. These beings, having only bones left due to the long passage of time, cannot attract flesh, and over time, their bones have become brittle, making them the weakest among all undead beings.
Zhao Hai planned to use the undead beings at Lion Mountain to create chaos without caring about their strength. He wanted the people on Lion Continent to know that he had dug up their ancestral graves, which would inevitably cause turmoil.
However, the current situation puzzled Zhao Hai. He quickly calmed himself and realized that these undead beings might not be asserting control. Typically, when undead beings do take control, their masters suffer some form of harm. The most severe outcome is that their master may be mentally impacted, potentially turning into an idiot due to the backlash.
Zhao Hai noticed that they were not under any attack. Although he had released the black mist from the Underworld, it originated from the spatial realm, where everything carries his spiritual mark. This black mist acted as a form of magic released by Zhao Hai. If these undead beings were truly taking control, he would certainly be attacked, yet he felt no aggression whatsoever.
Zhao Hai looked at the undead beings, shifted his form, and appeared inside the tomb. He wanted to see what was happening.
While Laura and the others were still stunned by the scene, they suddenly noticed Zhao Hai appearing on the screen. They froze, and their expressions changed dramatically as they feared that the undead beings might attack Zhao Hai.
However, the development of events was beyond their expectations. As soon as Zhao Hai appeared in the tomb, the two towering undead beings immediately turned to face him, and almost simultaneously, they knelt before him.
Zhao Hai felt relieved and waved his hand, allowing the two undead beings to stand up. He then attempted to communicate with them using his spiritual power.
Through this communication, Zhao Hai discovered that these two beings were not simple. They were the First Generation Clan Leader from Lion Continent, and they held another identity as cultivators from the Cultivation World.
However, they were not particularly powerful cultivators; they were merely alchemist apprentices in their sect's pharmacy. In the Cultivation World, every sect has a pharmacy for their pharmacists to refine elixirs. Alchemy is crucial in the Cultivation World, as nearly every practitioner consumes elixirs, which come in various types. Healing elixirs are the most common, but the majority of elixirs are used to enhance one's cultivation level.
Every sect sends talented children to learn simple cultivation methods from a young age, allowing them to assist the pharmacists in managing the cauldrons and teaching them basic herbal knowledge. When they grow up, they can become qualified pharmacists.
