Cai'er nodded and said, "Yes, these phones can be used in any background within the space. However, if taken outside of the space, they can only be used within a radius of ten thousand meters from you, young master. If you go beyond this range, they won't work anymore."

Zhao Hai nodded. The monitor had moved to a new location, and the surveillance range was about ten thousand meters centered around him. It seemed everything was due to the nature of the space, which allowed the phones to be used outside.

Zhao Hai glanced at the phone in his hand. It was unbranded, but it looked nice. There weren't many buttons on it; apart from the standard smartphone buttons, there weren't many extras. However, the screen was quite large, black in color, and it appeared simple yet elegant from the outside.

Zhao Hai nodded in satisfaction and pressed the power button. The screen lit up immediately with a startup animation that was unlike any he had seen before. The animation displayed a farm that slowly faded into a background picture of blue skies, white clouds, and green grass, while the phone also showed a screen similar to a computer desktop.

Zhao Hai was quite satisfied with this phone. Back on Earth, he had played with many smartphones; after all, not many people had never used one on Earth.

He turned to Laura and asked, "Laura, what's your number?"

Laura looked at Zhao Hai's actions in a daze. His proficiency with the phone was far beyond hers, indicating it wasn't his first time using one. This puzzled her greatly. When Zhao Hai asked, Laura quickly provided her phone number.

Zhao Hai was taken aback when he heard Laura's number. It wasn't an eleven-digit number; it was seven digits long, resembling an un-upgraded landline number.

However, he didn't pay much attention to it. He dialed Laura's number on his phone, and a pleasant melody rang out; it was Laura's phone ringing.

Laura picked up her phone and exclaimed excitedly, "Look, Brother Hai, this is your phone number."

Zhao Hai glanced at the number, almost fainting. What a domineering number! Six zeros followed by a one—wow, he had never seen such a number before.

He looked at the number and asked, "Why didn't you choose a few numbers that are close to mine? Why pick these numbers?"

After speaking, Zhao Hai pointed at the phone. It was displaying Laura's number, which was quite amusing—seven digits that were hard to read together and felt awkward.

Laura smiled at Zhao Hai's comment and said, "It's fun, Brother Hai! Isn't it interesting?" Then she added, "By the way, how do you know how to use a phone?"

Zhao Hai smiled slightly and replied, "Don't forget, I am the host of this space. What's so strange about knowing how to use a phone?"

Upon hearing this, Laura and the others nodded in understanding. Zhao Hai certainly couldn't tell them about Earth; that was his secret, and he wasn't going to share it with anyone.

Zhao Hai saved Laura's number on his phone and even took a picture of her to set as her avatar.

Seeing how adept Zhao Hai was with his phone, Laura and the others immediately gathered around him, insisting he help set up their phones as well.

Zhao Hai didn't refuse. He saved everyone's phone numbers and set personalized ringtones and avatars for each of them, finishing the task.

Watching Laura and the others happily fiddling with their phones, Zhao Hai couldn't help but smile wryly. To be honest, they were quite young, only around twenty years old, with Meg and Ni'er being just eighteen. Back on Earth, girls their age were often preoccupied with appearances and crying over arguments with their boyfriends, but here, Laura and the others had already become capable leaders. The contrast was striking.

As Zhao Hai observed Laura and the others playing with their phones, he didn't disturb them. He understood their excitement well; he remembered how he had been when he first got a phone—staying up late to tinker with it, though he had been even more obsessed than they were now.

He casually picked up the laptop Laura and the others had prepared for him. Upon opening it, he found a familiar computer interface. However, unlike Earth, this computer didn't have many installed programs, just some built-in ones, and it couldn't connect to the internet.
