Chapter 9: One Day, Without Fail
After wandering around in the spatial farm and finding nothing else to do, Zhao Hai emerged from the space and quietly lay down on his bed, his mind constantly replaying the events that had occurred since he woke up.
Since discovering that he had transmigrated, Zhao Hai felt no fear; instead, deep down, he felt a little smug. Back on Earth, Zhao Hai was just a homebody, living on a meager income from freelance work, with immense pressure in life.
But here, it was different. He was a noble, albeit one who was marginalized, yet he had his own territory. Although it was a barren land, he still had a few loyal subordinates, and he could decide the life and death of a hundred slaves with a single word. He had his own castle, with people attending to him, and most importantly, he had a spatial farm.
Although he didn't know the origins of this spatial farm, as long as it existed, he wouldn't have to worry about food and drink for the rest of his life. Living a carefree life wasn't too bad.
As he pondered all this, he couldn't help but think about the future development of the farm. However, thinking about it now was pointless; he could only wait for the farm to develop further.
The farm had clearly undergone some mutations, and whether this was a good or bad thing was hard to say. So, as soon as he got the chance tomorrow, he must definitely bring the black soil from outside into the space to see if it could be transformed with spatial soil and spatial water. He also needed to quickly accumulate funds, buying more seeds from the space. It would be best to also bring some spatial water outside; that way, even if the spatial farm disappeared in the future, he would still have a piece of land to rely on, which was essential for survival.
Lost in thought, Zhao Hai unknowingly fell asleep again. In his dream, he built a large estate, becoming the lord of the manor and living his little life, which was truly wonderful.
Just as he was enjoying this beautiful dream, a sudden voice called out: "The radishes are ripe, please harvest them as soon as possible."
Zhao Hai woke up with a start, quickly entering the spatial farm, and found that the radishes had indeed matured, large white radishes cracking the ground open.
Without thinking too much, Zhao Hai rushed to the edge of the spatial field, quickly dug up a big white radish, wiped the dirt off with his hands, and without caring whether it was dirty, took a big bite.
The sweet and slightly spicy juice of the radish filled his mouth, and Zhao Hai couldn't help but sigh; the flavor was truly amazing. Back on Earth, he especially loved eating white radishes. They were sweet and not spicy like green radishes. The one grown in the spatial farm tasted far superior to those on Earth.
While chewing the white radish, Zhao Hai examined it. This radish must weigh at least three pounds, which was quite large for a white radish, and it was straight and plump, looking very appetizing.
Zhao Hai laughed heartily, took the radish to the window of the grass hut, grabbed the basket labeled "Harvest," and shouted towards the field, βHarvest!β The radishes flew out of the ground as if being pulled by a giant hand, landing in the basket, but the basket never seemed to fill up. Looking down, Zhao Hai noticed that as soon as the radishes entered the basket, they disappeared.
Before long, the entire field was completely harvested. Zhao Hai checked the warehouse and found that all the radishes had been stored there, leaving behind numerous holes in the ground.
Zhao Hai didn't sell the radishes; instead, he bought another bag of seeds and ordered the little shovel to start tilling the land. After that, he planted the seeds into the ground. Just as he finished planting, a "ding" sound rang out, followed by a voice saying, "Congratulations, you have leveled up to level two. The system rewards you with two bags of cabbage seeds, each capable of planting one acre."
Zhao Hai rolled his eyes and said, "What a stingy reward, seeds that can only plant one acre of land."
