Chapter 856: Trial Ground
Zhao Hai glanced at a few people and smiled slightly, saying, "I just discovered something. A small team of Otherworldly Deities has arrived at the Taurus Continent, and they're not far from Holy Light City. I just took the clan leaders of the three major races from the Ark Continent to meet them, but their expressions were not too pleasant, so I didn’t bring them back. Fei'er, did you have any prior agreement with the Otherworldly Deities?"
Fei'er felt a bit nauseous when he thought of those Otherworldly Deities and nodded, "Yes, we had an agreement with them. We planned to give them some benefits and agreed to act together. I think they sent people here because we haven't sent anyone to the Ark Continent for a long time. But to be honest, I really don’t like those guys. Their arrogance is infuriating. If I had to say something, the Divine Race might attack them because of their pride."
Hearing Fei'er say this, the Great Demon Lord and the others laughed, and Zhao Hai joined in. He knew Fei'er was joking. Fei'er was a person who loved to joke around, especially now that they didn’t have anything to worry about.
Zhao Hai nodded, saying, "You're right; those guys are indeed nauseatingly arrogant. I think they'll be around here for a few days, so should we move on to the next step of our plan and quickly deal with the Taurus Continent?"
Fei'er and the others nodded. They were truly eager to attack the Taurus Continent. They understood that with the Darkness King around, conquering cities would be much easier.
Seeing their eagerness, Zhao Hai smiled slightly and said, "That's good. Let's prepare; we will act tomorrow. By the way, after you return today, have your people tidy up everything in Holy Light City. Gather whatever can be taken away; I'll bring them back to the Darkness King."
The group agreed and immediately turned to leave, but the Great Demon Lord and the Dragon King stayed behind. Zhao Hai looked at the two and asked, "How is life in the space? Are you satisfied?"
The Great Demon Lord laughed heartily, "Satisfied, of course! To be honest, this is the life we, Demon Clan members, have dreamed of. Our people have settled down, and we are also learning how to farm. Please rest assured, we will do our best not to damage the environment in this space."
Zhao Hai smiled faintly, "That's good to hear. To be honest, the last time I received those Divine Race members in the space, I gave them a similar environment to what you have now, hoping they would fend for themselves. But unexpectedly, they started destroying things as soon as they arrived. Those breadfruit trees, which I intended for them to use as food, alas, they knocked down all the breadfruits. I estimate they won’t last long before they go hungry, but I don't want to manage them anymore. I gave them a chance, and they ruined it themselves."
The Great Demon Lord and the Dragon King were momentarily stunned, then they expressed disbelief, "Did those Divine Race members really do that? Why?"
Zhao Hai sighed, "They probably thought I would make them slaves or wanted to destroy the place out of spite. Anyway, that space is a complete mess now. Unlike you, they have never lived in such an environment as the Demon Realm. The Divine Race members here have hardly encountered any challenges; they are so proud that they look down on everyone. Because of this, once they are defeated, they completely lose their judgment. It's hard to imagine they are part of the Divine Race, haha."
Zhao Hai's last three laughs sounded cold, but the Great Demon Lord and the Dragon King understood his meaning. Zhao Hai was furious; these Divine Race members were truly ungrateful. He had given them such a good opportunity, yet they failed to appreciate it.
The two didn't know what to say. They couldn't help but think about the Demon Clan. If they were defeated by Zhao Hai and captured in the same way as the Divine Race, what choices would they make?
The two simultaneously came to a conclusion: the choice of the Demon Clan members would be very simple. They would certainly live in the space with peace of mind, carefully protecting every blade of grass and tree because the environment there is far superior to that of the Demon Realm.
