Bringing the Farm to Live in Another World

Chapter 826: Three-Round Burst 🔥

Published: March 12, 2025

The Demon King awoke, feeling as though he had never slept so well in his entire life. This nap was truly refreshing.

The Demon King was not lying in any luxurious room; he was resting on a patch of grass, just a simple green field. If a person from Earth were to fall asleep on grass, they might wake up ill, but for the Demon Race, that was impossible. Not to mention sleeping on grass, even if they slept on a large rock, it wouldn't affect them at all. Their bodies were as tough as magical beasts.

The Demon King did not open his eyes immediately. He lay quietly, inhaling the fresh scent of the grass, feeling utterly relaxed.

After a while, the Demon King finally opened his eyes and looked around. He noticed many members of the Demon Race had already risen and were moving about, touching this and checking that, all with warm smiles on their faces.

The Demon King stood up and quietly surveyed his surroundings before saying in a deep voice, “Demon Legion, assemble!” As soon as his words fell, the members of the Demon Legion, who were resting not far away, jumped up and quickly formed ranks, their speed as if they had just finished training.

The Demon King was not surprised; if the Demon Legion lacked such capability, they would not be worthy of being called the number one legion in the demon realm. He walked up to the Demon Legion and addressed them loudly, “Today we will set out to deal with the Demon Race. Weapons will be distributed shortly, the kind of spears you have seen before. Be careful when using them; now go and receive your weapons.”

The members of the Demon Legion silently queued up to collect their arms, each taking six spears.

Once they had received their weapons, the Demon King called out, “Take good care of your weapons and go eat. Come back immediately after your meal for assembly.” The members of the Demon Legion acknowledged him and went off to prepare their food.

The members of the Demon Legion had their own logistics team, and they usually provided the best food in the entire Demon Race, at least with magical beast meat soup for every meal.

At that moment, Zhao Hai appeared beside the Demon King. Upon seeing Zhao Hai, the Demon King was momentarily taken aback, then quickly bowed and said, “Sir, are we late?”

Zhao Hai smiled slightly, shaking his head and replied, “No, you're not late. What are you eating?” Upon seeing the food of the Demon Legion, Zhao Hai frowned.

Although the members of the Demon Legion were having meat soup, flesh was not their staple food; their main dish consisted of a greenish, vegetable dumpling-like food.

The Demon King looked at the food in the hands of the Demon Race and nodded, saying, “Yes, this is the food we demons eat most commonly, the Holy Flower Leaf Dumpling.”

When Zhao Hai heard this, he realized that these dumplings were actually made from Cai'er’s leaves.

To be honest, when Cai'er mentioned her leaves were edible, Zhao Hai and the others had tried them once, and they did not taste good, some being even bitter. He never expected that the strongest legion of the Demon Race would eat such things.

Zhao Hai shook his head gently, pointing towards the trees on the distant mountain and said, “Demon King, there’s a Breadfruit Village on that mountain, and the breadfruit on the breadfruit trees is edible. You just need to pick some breadfruit and crack open the hard shell, and you can eat it. That’s what I have prepared for you.”

The Demon King was taken aback for a moment, then ordered someone to go up the mountain to gather some breadfruit. They had seen the fruit yesterday but hadn’t known if it was edible. In the demon realm, if you ate any fruit you came across, it could lead to dire consequences, as some fruits could even poison divine-level experts. Because of this, the Demon Race had developed a habit of never eating fruit from trees easily, a habit that had not changed even in the subspace.

Before long, a few members of the Demon Race returned with some breadfruit. Zhao Hai had them hand him one, and after receiving it, he gently opened the fruit's outer shell, and the flesh inside puffed up. Zhao Hai tore off a piece and put it into his mouth, nodding and saying, “Not bad, but this fruit isn't fully ripe. Next time you pick breadfruit, try to get the yellow ones; they are fully ripe, bigger, and taste better. Give it a try.”
