CHAPTER 779: Yun Tianlei's Discovery
Zhao Hai was, of course, unaware that Yun Tianlei was already contemplating a retreat. Even if he knew, he would not let Yun Tianlei off the hook, as the enmity between him and the Divine Race was too deep. As long as he could kill Divine Race Members and eliminate their living forces, Zhao Hai would do it.
As night fell, Zhao Hai immediately released the soul-eating blood mosquitoes. The Divine Clan and the Demon Clan were evenly matched, neither side fighting over control. Meanwhile, the cavalry and undead beings were also prepared for an attack at any moment.
Zhao Hai checked the time; it was almost time. The Divine Race had already set up camp, and the main generals were convening for a meeting. It was the perfect moment to strike. With a shout, Zhao Hai commanded the swarm of blood mosquitoes to swoop down on the Divine Race's camp.
At that moment, Yun Tianlei and his group were discussing how to retreat. Just as they were deciding who would provide cover, a piercing alarm rang out from outside. Fei'er rushed in with a grim expression and reported to Yun Tianlei, "Master, the blood mosquitoes have appeared again."
Hearing this, Yun Tianlei's expression darkened. His worries had materialized; those blood mosquitoes were indeed under the enemy's control, and there were quite a few of them.
However, there was no time for him to dwell on this. He immediately ordered, "Relay the command! According to today's strategy, spare no effort in exterminating the blood mosquitoes—three people to a group, no chaos allowed. The enemy may seize the opportunity to send in undead beings to attack. Everyone, return to your units immediately!"
Although he had just been joking around with his men, his words became orders at this moment, and no one dared to speak against him. Everyone responded with a shout and hurried off.
Once everyone had left, Yun Tianlei stood up, picked up his totem pillar, and turned to Fei'er, saying, "Fei'er, gather our people and let those guys from the Ark Continent witness the power of lightning elemental otherworldly technique." Fei'er acknowledged and also grabbed his totem pillar as they headed outside together.
Upon stepping outside, they were met with a scene similar to the previous day—an overwhelming number of blood mosquitoes swarming towards them. Yun Tianlei snorted coldly and waved his totem staff, unleashing a flash of lightning. Several blood mosquitoes in front of him turned to ash. However, he failed to notice that in the sky above, those few blood mosquitoes had reappeared and were charging toward him again.
Fei'er had already gathered the Giant Race, who brandished their totem staffs and formed a formation. They began to chant incantations in hushed tones, and soon, tiny bolts of electricity appeared around them. The electricity intensified until it formed a massive electric net. Standing within the formation, Fei'er commanded, "Go!"
As soon as his voice fell, the electric net shot into the sky, instantly turning every blood mosquito that touched it into fine ash.
Meanwhile, Fei'er and the others maneuvered the massive electric net, drifting above the Divine Race's main force. Soon, large groups of blood mosquitoes disappeared. However, after a short while, more blood mosquitoes appeared once again, attacking them relentlessly.
It was evident that the members of the Giant Race could not maintain control over the electric net for long. It soon dissipated into the air, yet the number of blood mosquitoes seemed to remain high.
While Fei'er and the others used the electric net, Yun Tianlei had been closely observing the blood mosquitoes. He felt a peculiar sense of unease; he led an army of twenty million, and logically, they should have eliminated the blood mosquitoes yesterday. Yet, they had expended significant effort and suffered many casualties before finally suppressing them. This felt abnormal, especially since they had not seen a single mosquito corpse; it was too strange.
