Bringing the Farm to Live in Another World

Chapter 773: Zhao Wen's Return 🌌

Published: March 12, 2025

Although it was getting late, the Divine Race did not encounter any attacks, but Yun Tianlei felt a constant unease in his heart. He did not believe that the enemy would be so kind as to give them a break; given their tactical approach, it was impossible for the enemy to provide them with such an opportunity.

However, it was already late, and there was no alarm from the sentries outside. No one was present in Shangru City; what on earth did the enemy want to do?

If Zhao Hai had continued to harass Yun Tianlei and the others as he did during the day, Yun Tianlei wouldn’t have been worried at all, because there was nothing to be concerned about with Zhao Hai's tactics.

Now that Zhao Hai had suddenly stopped, that was what worried him the most. He could not understand why the enemy would do this; it was the unknown danger that caused the greatest headache.

Suddenly, Yun Tianlei was startled and sat up, as a buzzing sound reached his ears. This sound was incredibly clear in the quiet night. Yun Tianlei perked up his ears to listen closely, and soon he realized that it was the sound of mosquitoes. Mosquitoes were a common sight in any dimension and were not particularly formidable; they could be easily swatted away. When Yun Tianlei heard the buzzing sound was from mosquitoes, he relaxed, sighed, and lay back down.

However, the buzzing grew louder and louder, making Yun Tianlei unable to remain calm. He stood up and shouted, “Fei'er, what’s going on? Why are there so many mosquitoes in the city? Go out and see what’s happening!”

Fei'er, sleeping just outside Yun Tianlei's room, immediately responded and got up to head outside.

As soon as Fei'er opened the door, she gasped in shock. Although she was a divine-level expert, she had never seen a situation like this before.

The entire sky above Shangru City was surrounded by a massive dark cloud that was constantly changing shape. What surprised them the most was that the deafening buzzing sound was coming from that dark cloud.

Fei'er moved towards the dark cloud, but when she was a few hundred meters away, she stopped. She felt her hair stand on end; that was no ordinary cloud—it was a swarm of mosquitoes, an unfathomable number of mosquitoes.

It was the first time Fei'er had seen so many mosquitoes, and what terrified her the most was their size. Each mosquito was the size of a palm, with blood-red bodies that made her scalp tingle.

Most importantly, Fei'er recognized these mosquitoes: the soul-eating blood mosquitoes. She had seen them in the God Realm, and even there, they were considered a terrifying existence. Of course, a couple of them were not frightening, but a large swarm of soul-eating blood mosquitoes would be a huge disaster for the Divine Race.

Fei'er slowly backed away, fearing that she might provoke the mosquitoes. In her fear, she failed to notice a small spatial rift among the mosquitoes, through which the soul-eating blood mosquitoes were continuously flying out at great speed, with their numbers steadily increasing.

Once Fei'er was about a thousand meters away from the swarm, she suddenly accelerated and flew back to the Lord's Mansion where Yun Tianlei was resting.

Yun Tianlei had also gotten up and was staring at the sky, his face reflecting shock. Upon seeing Yun Tianlei's expression, Fei'er immediately shouted, “Master, it’s a mosquito disaster! Quickly wake everyone up!”

Hearing the words “mosquito disaster,” the blood drained from Yun Tianlei's face, and he immediately yelled, “Ring the alarm! Sound the alarm quickly!” Fei'er couldn’t wait any longer and flew up to the city wall where there was an alarm bell. As soon as she arrived, she struck the bell vigorously.

The ringing of the bell awakened all the sleeping members of the Divine Race. They quickly donned their armor and rushed out of their homes, while members of each team started to cast light magic, scanning the surroundings.

Before long, someone spotted the massive swarm of soul-eating blood mosquitoes, and the color drained from everyone's faces.
