CHAPTER 747: Anxious Elves
Zhao Hai was quietly walking on the grassland outside the Space. Since the introduction of the Wind Pearl, there would occasionally be gentle breezes, making the Space feel even more comfortable. Zhao Hai came out to relax.
The divine race and the demon clan were like two colossal mountains pressing down on Zhao Hai's shoulders. He spent almost all of his time thinking about how to battle against the divine race and the demon clan, which kept his nerves strained without a moment of relaxation, leaving him feeling extremely exhausted.
Just then, he had just repelled an attack from the divine race, and there was still no movement from the demon clan. The elves were still in discussions, so he had a rare moment to rest, which was why he came out to unwind.
Gradually, Zhao Hai found himself in front of the universal machine. Looking at the fluctuating numbers on the machine, he couldn't help but sigh. He was pleased to have obtained a treasure, but the enemy behind that treasure was even more of a headache for Zhao Hai—more troublesome than the divine race.
Zhao Hai gently rubbed his temples, feeling like nothing was going smoothly. One problem after another arose, leaving him truly exhausted from dealing with them.
However, he couldn't avoid these issues. That was where the trouble lay. Zhao Hai sighed again as he looked at the flickering numbers. It appeared that in less than two days, that small tower would successfully upgrade.
To be honest, Zhao Hai was quite appreciative of the small tower's capabilities. As long as this small tower could upgrade, it might promote the evolution of the undead beings, and through this small tower, he could learn about those cultivators, allowing him to prepare better.
After walking around the perimeter for a little while to clear his mind, Zhao Hai returned to his room. Laura and the others had finished their tasks and were seated in the Space, looking at the screen. The screen displayed the kingdom of light, where the divine race had already taken control, establishing one massive military camp after another based on major cities.
Seeing these military camps, Zhao Hai understood the purpose of the enormous magic cannons that the divine race had shipped in. Those magic cannons had been mounted on the walls of the divine race's largest military camps. It appeared those were city defense cannons, which explained why they were so difficult to move.
As soon as Laura and the others saw Zhao Hai return, they quickly stood up. Laura looked puzzled and asked, "Brother Hai, where did you go? Why didn't we see you on the screen just now?"
Zhao Hai smiled slightly and replied, "I didn’t go anywhere; I just went outside for a walk to relax. Have you all finished?"
Laura nodded and said, "The material transport is now on track, and everyone knows how to coordinate, so it's much easier to manage."
Zhao Hai smiled, "That's good. Don't tire yourselves too much. I wonder how the elves are discussing things. If they can indeed bring the tree of life into the Space, it might allow the Space to upgrade. But I don't know how their discussions are going."
Laura laughed and said, "They should agree. If they don’t, they can only watch the tree of life wither; the Elven Race wouldn't be able to bear that blow."
Zhao Hai nodded and turned to look at the military camps of the divine race, sighing, "This is probably only part of the divine race's army. There will be even more troops in the future, and if our strength isn’t great enough then, we might not be able to withstand their attacks."
Hearing Zhao Hai say this, Laura and the others fell silent. The divine race's attacks in the past couple of days had not been particularly fierce, and their numbers were not overwhelming. It seemed the divine race was primarily focused on establishing these military camps. Zhao Hai and the others had already noticed that the divine race had built many military camps, but those camps were not fully occupied. It was no wonder, as the number of people in the kingdom of light was in the hundreds of millions, while the divine race's troops had only just arrived, numbering just over ten million. It was impossible to fill so many cities.
