Most of the ordinary people in Demon City have already evacuated. Although many military troops have entered, the city is not fully occupied. Therefore, Bess quickly arranged three relatively independent areas, designating them as three separate camps.
Bess has also passed down a message stating, "The dwarf clan's army will enter the city in the next couple of days. The people in the city should not provoke them, as it is well-known that dwarves have a bad temper."
However, once this news spread, the entire Demon City was thrown into an uproar. The people here shared the same thoughts as Bess. Although there were rumors circulating on the continent that the dwarf clan and several other alien generals were forming an alliance with the human race to combat the demon clan, with so much time having passed, there had been no sight of the dwarves or elves sending troops for assistance. Thus, people on the continent believed this was just a rumor released by the various empires to stabilize Zhao Hai's emotions. They did not expect that suddenly, these alien races would be arriving.
Zhao Hai, however, did not care about their reactions. After Bess had arranged the camps, Zhao Hai took Berry to check them out. After confirming there were no issues, Zhao Hai led Berry out of Demon City. Not far outside the city, he opened a spatial rift and brought the dwarves over.
This time, the dwarf clan was led by an elder named Alihan, who was among the younger elders of the dwarf clan and had a good relationship with Zhao Hai.
When Alihan came out of the spatial rift, he bowed to Zhao Hai and said, "Sir, we have arrived. This time we brought a total of fifty thousand warriors and ten thousand Ironclad Beasts."
After returning the greeting, Zhao Hai smiled and said, "Good, thank you very much for this. Come, follow me; the camp has already been arranged for you. You can rest well."
Alihan nodded and turned to organize the troops he brought. These were the most outstanding warriors of the dwarf clan, each carrying a warhammer and wearing heavy armor, with a shield. Additionally, each one also carried several hand axes for ranged attacks.
In no time, the fifty thousand troops had gathered, and the ten thousand Ironclad Beasts were ready. Zhao Hai glanced at the dwarf clan and said with a slight smile, "Brothers, we are about to head to the battlefield. This is the first time in many years that we will fight alongside the human race. They may be a bit surprised and stare at us; it's nothing to worry about—they're just curious. When the real fighting begins, we will astonish them. Also, if anyone dares to mock you, do not hesitate to give them a good beating. Now, let's set off!"
Zhao Hai always spoke to the dwarves this way, so they were used to it. Upon hearing Zhao Hai's words, they erupted in cheers and followed him toward Demon City, curiously observing their surroundings. This curiosity was understandable, as they had not left Dwarf Iron Mountain for a very long time, and everything here was new to them.
Soon, the large troop approached Demon City. The people in Demon City noticed Zhao Hai and his soldiers, but due to their military regulations, they could only stretch their necks to have a look. Those adventurers, however, didn't have to worry about such restrictions; they rushed out of the city, curiously watching the dwarves. Yet no one said anything, as they all understood that these dwarves were personally brought by Zhao Hai. If they dared to speak out of turn, Zhao Hai would not let them off easily.
These adventurers were indeed scared of Zhao Hai. His ruthlessness had become notorious across the continent; he had turned hundreds of thousands of troops from the Aksu Empire into undead beings overnight. Not everyone could accomplish such a feat.
As a result, the adventurers merely watched the dwarves with curiosity but did not act out. Zhao Hai was quite satisfied with this situation. He led the dwarf clan to their camp and then took Alihan to meet Bess. After all, he could not always serve as a go-between for Bess and Alihan; they needed to communicate directly.
