Chapter 660: Repairing the Spirit Bow
Zhao Hai nodded and said, "Yes, originally I didn't know about this matter either, but this time when I went to the sea tribe, they had a deep understanding of the history of the human race, and it was they who informed me."
Billy's expression was serious as he said, "The church of light, what a ruthless church! We still couldn't understand why the human race suddenly started suppressing the other races. It turns out it was all because of the church of light. I will make sure to wipe out every single member of the church of light!"
Zhao Hai smiled slightly and replied, "Don't worry, clan leader, there will be opportunities; there definitely will be. After all, we will eventually confront the church of light. At that time, we will have plenty of chances to deal with them."
Billy snorted coldly, knowing that there was no need to rush these matters. In any case, opportunities would come later. Zhao Hai turned to Billy and asked, "Clan leader, how do you think the spirit race will deal with the grand elder and Guy?"
Billy huffed, "They won't let them off easily. Apart from the human race, no other race would take such a serious betrayal lightly."
Zhao Hai sighed helplessly; it was indeed like that. Regardless of whether it was the orc tribe or the dwarf clan, even the most easygoing spirit race would not easily let go of those who betrayed their kind. The human race, however, was different. Within the human race, there were many empires, and the sense of belonging to an empire far outweighed the sense of belonging to the entire human race. This was precisely what set the human race apart from other races.
At that moment, Gala walked in from outside. Zhao Hai and Billy noticed that Gala's face did not look good, but they couldn't say anything. Gala had come to bring food for the two. The food from the spirit race was quite special; they hardly ate meat, focusing mainly on fruits and vegetables. Therefore, the meal delivered to Zhao Hai and Billy consisted mainly of vegetables and fruits, with the staple being something resembling breadfruit, but this fruit lacked the outer shell of a breadfruit and looked more like a horn.
Zhao Hai wasn't bothered by these foods, but Billy was. The dwarf clan preferred to eat meat. Seeing the table full of vegetables and fruits, he immediately lost his appetite.
After placing the food on the table, Gala bowed to Zhao Hai and Billy, saying, "Please, take your time. If either of you needs anything, just ring the bell on the table, and someone will come in to serve you."
Zhao Hai nodded and said, "Thank you, Captain Gala. This is already very generous."
Gala bowed again, appearing as if she was about to say something but ultimately didn’t, turning to leave. Seeing her expression, Zhao Hai smiled slightly and said, "Miss Gala, please wait a moment. Is there something you wish to discuss? If so, please feel free to speak."
Gala paused upon hearing Zhao Hai's words; she turned to look at him and after a while said, "Sir, I just wanted to ask if you know why the grand elder and the prince consort betrayed the spirit race?"
Zhao Hai was taken aback; he hadn't expected Gala to ask this question. He looked at her in confusion and asked, "Captain Gala, why do you want to know this? What do the grand elder and Guy have to do with you?"
Gala's face turned pale as she said, "The grand elder is my grandmother, and the prince consort is my father. If Mr. Zhao Hai knows anything, please do tell me."
Both Zhao Hai and Billy were stunned; they truly hadn't realized that the young woman before them was actually the princess of the spirit race. Looking at Gala, Zhao Hai couldn't help but feel some sympathy for her. He sighed and said, "I only have a guess; I’m not sure if it’s true. However, I believe it’s quite likely that the grand elder might be an agent sent by the church of light to the spirit race."
Gala looked at Zhao Hai in confusion, as he had mentioned the church of light sending someone to the spirit race and not that the grand elder had betrayed the spirit race. The meanings were not the same.
