Chapter 654: Clear Tone Bird
The ships of the dwarf clan are not large. Zhao Hai was sitting with Billy, so naturally, he had no opportunity to enter the space. For five consecutive days, he could only sit on the ship and chat casually with Billy.
To be honest, those five days were really boring, but fortunately, although the ship was small, it was still possible to lie down, and Zhao Hai managed to get a good sleep during those five days.
Five days quickly passed. The small ship finally docked, and Billy led Zhao Hai off the dock. They walked out to find themselves at the foot of a large mountain. After exiting the mountain, they realized they were already in a forest, and the mountain was just at the foot of a small hill in the forest.
As Zhao Hai stepped out of the mountain, he was captivated by the scenery outside. It was incredibly beautiful; the area around the mountain was truly stunning.
This was a rainforest, with lush tall trees everywhere. Beneath the trees were shrubs and various plants that Zhao Hai couldn't name. Most importantly, the place was remarkably primitive, with almost no signs of human destruction. Upon entering, it felt like stepping into a kingdom of plants; it was just beautiful.
At that moment, a sudden rustle came from the woods. Zhao Hai was startled and turned to look, only to see a small magical beast darting out from the trees. It resembled a small monkey but was quite tiny, and its appearance was undeniably adorable—with pure white fur, round ears, a long tail, and bright eyes that made it seem more like a plush toy than a living creature.
The small monkey curiously examined Zhao Hai and the others, showing no signs of fear. Zhao Hai couldn’t help but fall in love with the little creature. Unable to resist, he pulled out an apple from his sleeve and tossed it to the little monkey.
The monkey was startled and immediately jumped onto a nearby tree, baring its teeth at Zhao Hai. However, Zhao Hai merely smiled and watched the little monkey. The monkey appeared confused but, seeing the red apple on the ground, showed curiosity. It slowly jumped down from the tree, approached the apple, sniffed it, and then squealed with excitement before taking a big bite, finishing the apple in just a few bites.
Afterward, the little monkey glanced at Zhao Hai and chirped a couple of times, as if wanting more. Zhao Hai smiled slightly and tossed another apple. The little monkey devoured it just as quickly but seemed to have had its fill. It made a funny face at Zhao Hai, turned around, and climbed back up into a nearby tree, lying on a larger branch, appearing ready to sleep.
Zhao Hai couldn't help but laugh; this little creature was just too cute. Billy and the others were also standing beside Zhao Hai, grinning as they watched the little monkey. Eventually, the monkey ignored Zhao Hai and climbed the tree, causing Billy and the others to chuckle.
At that moment, a shadow suddenly flickered in the woods. Zhao Hai was taken aback and immediately became alert. Just as he tensed up, a green figure appeared right in front of him.
Zhao Hai was stunned but did not attack, for he realized that the green figure was a person—a man dressed in a green robe with golden hair.
This man was extraordinarily handsome, with a face so striking that even women would feel jealous. His long golden hair was casually draped behind him, secured with a green grass rope. He held a harp in his hands. What caught Zhao Hai's attention the most were his ears; they were somewhat larger than human ears and pointed, but that did not detract from his attractiveness.
However, this man was currently looking at Zhao Hai and the others with a serious expression. Zhao Hai recognized that he was from the spirit race but chose not to speak, knowing that this was a moment for Billy to take the lead.
Billy understood this as well, stepping forward and bowing respectfully to the spirit man. "Esteemed harpist, greetings. I am Billy, clan leader of the dwarf clan, here to pay a visit to the Lady King of the spirit race."
