Chapter 630: Certainty

However, it was not the sea dragon clan member that caught Zhao Hai's attention; it was the other two individuals. One was tall and donned in a golden robe, while the other wore a red robe that exuded an extremely sacred aura.

As soon as Zhao Hai saw the figure in red, his eyes narrowed. He was well aware of what kind of person emanated such an aura; it surely belonged to someone from the church of light. Zhao Hai had gathered some information about the church, and he knew that only the cardinal of the church of light was qualified to wear a red robe. It seemed this person was indeed a cardinal.

Thinking of this, Zhao Hai couldn't help but glance at Joshua a few more times. Although he didn't know Joshua's name, he intended to remember him, as it was a great opportunity to understand the enemy. Zhao Hai was ready; he planned to deal with Joshua and transform him into a high-level undead being to extract more information about the church of light from him.

After fully memorizing Joshua's appearance, Zhao Hai turned his gaze to the man in the golden robe. This man radiated immense strength, and Zhao Hai sensed an aura very similar to that of the sea dragon clan from him. This confirmed the man's identity: Dragon Clan!

Zhao Hai examined Aokazha carefully and soon spotted the dragon horns on his head, further affirming his identity.

Laura and the others had also been observing the two, and they quickly noticed the characteristics that set them apart. There was no way to hide those features; they were too obvious and could be seen at a glance.

With a heavy expression, Laura turned to Zhao Hai and said, “Brother Hai, it seems that the people of the church of light and the dragon clan have truly joined forces. This confirms our earlier speculation that the dragon clan is indeed a pawn laid by the divine race.”

Zhao Hai nodded in agreement. “The appearance of these two individuals has provided us with further confirmation of our previous guesses. The divine race is indeed on the move; the church of light has failed, and they have begun to act against the sea tribe. Or perhaps, regardless of the church of light's success or failure, they would still act against the sea tribe. Once they have the sea tribe in their grasp, they would almost be invincible.”

Lily frowned and said, “What should we do? Should we deal with them now?”

Zhao Hai shook his head. “No, we should retreat. We need to return and inform Luo Ying, then we will go to the plains and tell the dwarf clan about this.”

Meigen nodded. “I think that’s a good idea. This information is really important to us, and the dwarf clan isn't far from Aklaya Mountain. If they are unaware of this situation, they might suffer losses.”

Zhao Hai nodded and waved his hand. The undead beings exhaled black mist, drifting toward the sea dragon clan's formation. Seeing Zhao Hai's actions, Adam promptly commanded the army to slowly retreat. He could not allow himself to be enveloped by that black mist; who knew what it was capable of?

Fortunately, the black mist was not fast, and they managed to evade it. However, Adam soon noticed something strange: the black mist floated to the battlefield they had just fought on, lingering there and gradually shrinking. Realizing what was happening, Adam's expression changed dramatically. While ordering his troops to retreat with all their might, he also sent a message to Alexis requesting reinforcements.

The reason Adam did this was that he understood that the black mist was no ordinary substance; it was what a dark mage used to transform corpses into undead beings. Zhao Hai was collecting undead beings! If he succeeded, his undead army would grow even larger, making things more difficult for them.

Quickly, the black mist vanished, and the battleground where they had just fought became entirely clean, devoid of any undead beings. Adam's expression grew even graver, but he continued to order his troops to retreat.

What surprised Adam was that Zhao Hai's undead army was also slowly retreating, seemingly withdrawing rather than continuing the attack.
