Joshua looked at the expressions of the others and let out a bitter smile, saying, “We underestimated Zhao Hai’s strength from the beginning. Now he has become a significant force. Yake acknowledged and Alexis then turned to Joshua, saying, “Bishop Joshua, do you have a portrait of Zhao Hai? Give it to Yake so he doesn’t mistake him.”
Joshua nodded, “Of course. Zhao Hai is now our number one enemy in the Church of Light; how could we not have his portrait?” After speaking, he flipped his hand, revealing a portrait. This portrait, clearly crafted by a master artist, depicted Zhao Hai in full, holding a staff and dressed in a dark magic robe, with a grim expression. The image made him appear quite lifelike, albeit it seemed that Zhao Hai had never had such a grim expression, clearly exaggerated by the Church of Light.
However, when they saw the portrait, Alexis and the others were momentarily taken aback. They had imagined that such a powerful Zhao Hai would be an old dark mage, resembling a skeleton, only to find that he was just a seemingly ordinary young man.
The group looked at Joshua with puzzled expressions, as if to say, “Did you take the wrong one?”
Joshua looked at their expressions and smiled wryly, “Don’t worry, I really didn’t make a mistake. This is indeed Zhao Hai’s portrait. He is only about twenty years old and just got married today. Don’t be fooled by his ordinary appearance; this person’s methods are truly remarkable. If it is really him, then General Yake must be cautious.”
Alexis nodded and turned to Yake, “Yake, take this portrait and make sure to clarify if it is indeed this guy. If it is him, don’t confront him directly. Come back and let us know. We need to concentrate our forces and eliminate him in one go.” Yake acknowledged and turned to leave with the portrait.
After Yake left, Alexis turned to Joshua and Aokazha and said, “Bishop, envoy, if we can confirm that it is Zhao Hai, I would like to ask you both to help us eliminate him alongside the sea dragon clan. You know that this guy is a dark mage, and both of you can use light magic, which has a certain restraining effect on humans. Additionally, he is fighting in the sea; as long as we act together, I believe he won’t be able to escape.”
