Chapter 604: Blood Battle

A thick, blood-like liquid slowly seeped from the shaft of the beast god spear, forming a blood sphere at the tip that emitted a strong metallic scent. This blood sphere gradually changed shape, eventually forming a humanoid figure the length of an arm. The figure transformed into a grotesque creature with a gorilla's head, four arms, and two legs.

The gorilla's head resembled that of a king kong ape, but Zhao Hai had never seen a four-armed orc before. This creature was clad in heavy armor, wielding weapons in its four hands: a shield, a spear, a knife, and a chain hammer.

Gradually, a tiger appeared beneath this creature, and only then did the spirit of the artifact begin to stabilize and take shape.

Zhao Hai looked at this spirit of the artifact in surprise. He had seen spirits before, like Mu'er and Iron Hammer, but Mu'er looked like a child and posed no threat, while Iron Hammer seemed like a straightforward dwarf without cunning. However, this spirit looked like a god of death, emanating a bloody aura that only a warrior stepping down from the battlefield would have.

This was a war god. This was Zhao Hai's first thought upon seeing this spirit of the artifact—an exceptionally fierce war god. Every inch of its body, every drop of blood, every cell existed for battle.

Zhao Hai stared at this spirit, and it turned to look back at him. Suddenly, it retracted its four arms and bowed, saying, "Blood Battle pays respect to the master!"

"Blood Battle!" Zhao Hai repeated the name in a low voice. It might sound cliché, but he understood its significance well. Throughout history, the orcs had proven the existence of these two words with their actions: blood battle!

The orcs never retreated in battle. At the slightest command, they would charge forward desperately, fighting to the last, and would never back down even if it meant the last person's death. This was precisely the origin of the term "blood battle."

Coming back to his senses, Zhao Hai said to Blood Battle, "Call me young master. Iron Hammer has already told me why you came to the Ark Continent. Do you have anything to add?"

Blood Battle shook its head and replied, "No, young master. I arrived in the God Realm around the same time as Iron Hammer, and our experiences are quite similar, so what I know, Iron Hammer knows as well."

Zhao Hai nodded and said, "Good. Then this is how it will be. I will send you to the orc tribe, and you will guard them there. Do you understand?"

Blood Battle replied, "Yes, young master!" Zhao Hai nodded and was about to leave when Blood Battle suddenly said, "Young master, please help these king kong apes."

Zhao Hai was taken aback and glanced at the king kong ape clan leader trapped in ice, looking confused at Blood Battle. "They are dead. How can I help them? Their bodies have already petrified; even dark magic is useless."

Blood Battle shook its head. "No, young master, they are dead, but their bodies have not petrified. If you use dark magic to turn them into undead beings, it would benefit you. This king kong ape clan leader possesses a unique superpower called Battle Flag. This ability can command and unify those around him like a flag on the battlefield, enhancing his ability to lead an army in combat. It was thanks to this ability that they could reach the Extreme North Icefield back then."

Zhao Hai was momentarily stunned; this was the first time he had heard of such a racial superpower. However, it was good news. If these king kong apes could become undead beings, their combat strength would undoubtedly be formidable.

Zhao Hai nodded, and a black mist fell onto the icy block, slowly seeping into the ice, enveloping the king kong ape clan leader and his giant ape.

The reason Zhao Hai initially melted the ice around the king kong ape clan was that he had never intended to turn them into undead beings; he held great respect for them. But now that Blood Battle had suggested he turn these king kong apes into undead beings, he naturally wouldn’t hold back.
