CHAPTER 555: Cooperation (2)
The Beast King looked at Zhao Hai, unable to believe this was real. He was well aware that the only producer of milk wine on the continent was Zhao Hai's family. However, if Zhao Hai could share this method with the orcs, the benefits would be immense for the orc tribe.
Looking at the Beast King's expression, Zhao Hai smiled and said, "Here’s my idea: the milk wine produced by the orcs actually tastes quite good, but it can't be preserved for too long. I can process the ordinary milk wine from the orcs into this refined milk wine. So, I was thinking, could the orc tribe produce more of this milk wine and sell it to me? I can take it to the continent to sell. What do you think?"
The Beast King furrowed his brow. To be honest, he wasn't fond of this kind of cooperation because the orc tribe wouldn't benefit much. However, thinking it over, the Beast King relaxed. The method of processing milk wine into a premium product had always been unique to Zhao Hai. If Zhao Hai were to teach them freely, it would be absurd.
Even if Zhao Hai chose not to share the method, it was still fine; as long as Zhao Hai collected the milk wine, it would provide the orc tribe with an additional source of income.
The orc tribe herded mountain goats and other magical beasts, all of which would need to give birth and produce milk. The orc tribe simply could not consume all this milk; they had to make various dairy products such as milk wine, cheese, and milk skin.
However, these dairy products had a common characteristic: they were not easy to preserve, especially in this region, making it even more challenging to store them.
Sometimes, some orcs treated milk as water to drink, which was truly a waste. If Zhao Hai were to purchase large quantities of milk wine, it would undoubtedly be beneficial for ordinary orcs.
The Beast King nodded and said, "That sounds like a good thing, but how will you collect this milk wine? If the milk wine is left for too long, it will spoil. Once it spoils, I assume you won't be able to make your refined milk wine out of it?"
Zhao Hai smiled and said, "That's where I hope Your Majesty can help. I want to cooperate with some orcs, preferably larger orc tribes, to help collect the milk wine for me. I can come to pick it up every few days. What do you think?"
The Beast King thought for a moment and nodded, saying, "There’s no problem with that. This is good for us orcs, but our orc prairie is vast. Even if those tribes agree to cooperate with you, can you make it over here?"
Zhao Hai smiled slightly and said, "Your Majesty, have you forgotten? I have the flying eagle magical beasts. I can send them to collect it, which will greatly shorten the time. As long as you can get those tribes to cooperate with me, I can handle the rest."
The Beast King nodded and said, "Very well, it’s settled then. I can help with this. I will write a letter to those large tribes in a while, and you can go directly to them when the time comes."
Zhao Hai nodded and said, "Thank you very much, Your Majesty. I will visit the major races as soon as possible."
The Beast King smiled and said, "No need to be polite. This is a good thing for us orcs, and I’m not worried that you’ll deceive me. In fact, even if you did deceive me, it wouldn’t be a big deal because milk wine isn’t considered a good product for us. Sometimes, it can even be quite wasteful. Now, being able to cooperate with you means we might turn these into money, which is undoubtedly a great opportunity for our orc tribe."
Hearing the Beast King say this, Zhao Hai couldn’t help but smile slightly and said, "Your Majesty sees it clearly. If the orc tribe gains this additional source of income, their lives will improve a bit. Please explain to the orcs that I can pay for the milk wine in three ways: first, with food or various daily necessities; second, with gold and silver. Although gold and silver aren’t very useful for the orc tribe, they can still be traded with human merchants; third, magical beasts, such as mountain goats. I can exchange mountain goats for milk wine. Of course, the price won’t be too high, so please clarify this to them. I’m afraid they won’t believe me if I say it directly."
