Chapter 549: One Hundred Thousand Slaves
After discussing cooperation with Jas, Zhao Hai had a meal at the Krook Family and then returned to Mad Dragon Fortress to rest. The next day, he went to Dark Soldier Fortress again to talk about cooperation with Lando, who naturally agreed. With the Church of Light being suppressed, they were also preparing for a big move.
After leaving Dark Soldier Fortress, Zhao Hai returned to Mad Dragon Fortress. This time, Laura and the others did not accompany him; they were busy in the space handling matters related to Magedel and the Budah family.
Zhao Hai had never been interested in dealing with those mundane matters, and with Laura and their strength, handling these issues was well within their capabilities. So, he simply left everything to them.
The day after returning from Dark Soldier Fortress, Zhao Hai took a carriage to the royal palace. He intended to meet the old king, bring Lily back home, and discuss cooperation matters with him.
The royal family also had its own business. By cooperating with the royal family, Zhao Hai could relieve a lot of his worries. His position at Rosen Empire was quite high now, and when the palace guards saw Zhao Hai arrive, they did not dare to neglect him, arranging for him to rest in the lounge while they reported to the king.

Zhao Hai quickly replied, “I went to the Versailles Principality to prepare for establishing a chain of stores. I came back this time to pick up Lily and discuss cooperation with you, my father-in-law.”
The king glanced at Zhao Hai and said, “You’re talking about the cooperation regarding those goods in your possession, right?”
Zhao Hai nodded and said, “Exactly. I have quite a few goods, but due to the suppression from the Church of Light, they haven’t been sold. Now that the Church of Light has fallen, it’s time to turn those goods into money.”
The old king nodded and said, “Yes, it should be turned into money. You can discuss this with me; go find Charlie and cooperate with him.”
Zhao Hai was taken aback, then his eyes lit up, and he lowered his head to acknowledge. At that moment, Lily also arrived in the study. Zhao Hai chatted with Lily and the old king for a while before leaving with Lily.
The two got into the carriage heading toward Mad Dragon Fortress. As they traveled, Zhao Hai turned to Lily and said, “It seems that my father-in-law is preparing to pass the throne to my third brother.”
Lily was taken aback; she hadn’t heard the conversation between the old king and Zhao Hai. So, hearing Zhao Hai say this, she asked in confusion, “Why? Did Father tell you something?”
Zhao Hai smiled and said, “He didn’t tell me anything directly, but when I mentioned cooperating with the royal family, my father-in-law directly told me to find my third brother. If he wasn’t planning to pass the throne to him, would he have said that?”
Lily’s eyes brightened, “If Father really said that, then it’s certain that the throne must belong to my third brother. Haha, it seems like my third brother should thank some people.”
Zhao Hai smiled slightly, “He doesn’t need to thank me. As long as he ascends to the throne, our Budah family will benefit greatly. How about this, tomorrow we visit my third brother to discuss cooperation, but let’s not mention anything about the throne. The day after tomorrow, we’ll go to the slave market.
