Laura exclaimed, "I really didn’t expect Ryan to have this side to her. The last time I saw her, she just looked like a fun-loving noble lady. Who would have thought?"

Zhao Hai didn’t reply, simply watching the screen in silence. After Ryan finished speaking, some elders jumped out to refute her. Their message was clear: they would reconcile with the Church of Light and would never ally with the Budah Family.

Seeing this, Zhao Hai couldn’t help but sigh, "It seems there won't be a good outcome. The Versailles Family is finished."

As Zhao Hai expected, Ivan ultimately couldn't change the council of elders' decision and had to announce the meeting's adjournment. Once all the elders left, Ryan stayed behind. She looked at her father, who appeared weary, and said, "Father, you should know that allying with the Church of Light means the end for our Versailles Family. The Church of Light seems very powerful now; they even control the Aksu Empire. This has raised the vigilance of other countries, and the Church of Light won't have it easy in the future. In this situation, allying with them won't end well."

Ivan sighed, "I know, but what can we do? If those elders are so resolute, even if the deity intercedes, they might not compromise. Let's not discuss this further. Here’s what we'll do: I'll consult the deity soon and have him take you along with Zhao Hai to establish another Versailles Family on Golden Island. This way, regardless of what happens in the Versailles Principality, our family's roots won't be severed."

Ryan was taken aback, looking at Ivan, "Father, this might not be a good idea. We are still too young. Even with the deity by our side, it would be difficult for the Versailles Family to develop."

Ivan shook his head, "We have to do it this way. Things have reached this point; there’s nothing more to say. Let’s go."

Ryan looked at Ivan helplessly and turned to leave. Ivan sat in the living room, sighed, and slowly stood up to walk outside.

Zhao Hai stopped watching the screen, knowing Ivan must be going to consult the primordial sword saint. The Versailles Family had reached a critical point for survival. Judging by the elders' demeanor, they seemed to have been bought off by the Church of Light. The Church hadn’t moved against the Versailles Family likely because they were wary of the primordial sword saint. After all, the sword saint’s reputation on the continent was longstanding. Unless the Church sent four or five ninth-level experts, they likely wouldn't be able to deal with him.

Moreover, the Church had already suffered significant losses among their ninth-level experts this time. If they were to lose more at the Versailles Family, they might not be able to maintain control, which is why they had bribed those elders.

Zhao Hai turned to Laura, "It seems there's no other way. Alright, Cai'er, keep an eye on the Versailles Family. Once they are ready, let me know, and I will go pick them up. Laura, let's go meet Uncle Robbie and the others."

Laura and the others nodded and followed Zhao Hai to Iron Mountain Fortress.

By now, night had fallen, but Iron Mountain Fortress remained brightly lit. Cai'er emitted a faint glow at night, and with it just getting dark, many people were still outside enjoying the atmosphere.

Zhao Hai headed directly to the area where the Iksa Family was staying. Since it was an old-style castle, there weren’t many courtyards, so Zhao Hai designated an area for them to live.

Zhao Hai and Laura slowly walked to that area and were soon spotted by members of the Iksa Family. One person immediately guided Zhao Hai to Robbie's residence.

When they arrived at Robbie's place, Robbie had already received the news and was standing at the door waiting for Zhao Hai. They exchanged a few pleasantries before entering the living room.

Once seated in the living room, Zhao Hai looked at Robbie and asked, "Uncle Robbie, are you comfortable here? Is there anything you need? Don’t hesitate to tell Grandpa Galen."
