Chapter 511: Prairie Wolf Tribe (Subscription Requested)
Buzel reminded Wells, fearing that he might act impulsively and want to participate in the upcoming battle, which would result in even heavier losses for the minotaur tribe. At that point, the minotaur tribe's standing among the races would significantly decrease, which would not be good for the dog-headed tribe either.
However, Buzel did not realize that Zhao Hai had already warned Wells before. To be honest, Buzel had some reservations about Zhao Hai, as his timing of appearance was just too coincidental. As soon as Zhao Hai showed up, the Herculean Bull Tribe immediately encountered problems, and Wells, who had gotten close to him, ended up becoming the clan leader and a prince consort. It could be said that Zhao Hai benefited the most from the turmoil in the Herculean Bull Tribe, which made Buzel suspicious of him.
But today, Zhao Hai did two things that dispelled Buzel's doubts. The first was sending them a message, saying that the food shortage might have been instigated by the church of light. He could not confirm this matter, but he felt grateful to Zhao Hai nonetheless.
The second was Zhao Hai advising Wells not to participate in the war. From this, it was clear that Zhao Hai genuinely cared about the minotaur tribe; otherwise, he wouldn't have reminded Wells.
After thinking for a moment, Buzel said to Wells, "Wells, in a couple of days, I will have Buffon take Little Hai to contact the bear tribe. Do you want to go along?"
Wells shook his head and said, "No, uncle, I can't go. There are too many matters in the tribe that I need to handle. I want to let Sixth Brother accompany Little Hai."
Buzel knew everyone in the Herculean Bull Tribe, and upon hearing Wells say this, he nodded, "Hmm, having two princes go together shows sincerity. Alright, it's settled. If you have urgent business, you can leave tomorrow. In a couple of days, I will have Buffon lead Little Six and Little Hai to the bear tribe."
Wells nodded, "Thank you, uncle."
Buzel smiled and said, "It's no trouble at all. Now, let's not talk about that anymore. I’m happy you came today, let’s go drink." Wells agreed and followed Buzel and the others outside the tent.
The clan leaders of the dog-headed tribe had not left; outside the tent, blankets were laid out, and small tables were set up. They were drinking and chatting, with mountain goats and Mighty Bulls being roasted, which was considered a high-standard reception among the orcs.
When those people saw Buzel and the others coming out, they greeted them with smiles. Buzel returned the greeting and sat down at his small table, with Zhao Hai and Wells also taking a seat.
At this point, the mountain goat was almost done roasting. Buzel raised his wine cup and addressed everyone present, "Today our orc tribe has encountered a severe grain shortage, and my dog-headed tribe is even worse. We've sought grain from many places without success. Fortunately, Little Hai has grain and is willing to sell it to us at a low price, which has helped us greatly. Moreover, he is also a prince of the minotaur tribe, and the minotaur tribe has been friendly with the dog-headed tribe for generations. He is not considered an outsider, so from now on, Little Hai will be regarded as one of our own in the dog-headed tribe. Everyone, please take good care of him."
The dog-headed tribe members naturally responded with loud agreement. Even if Buzel hadn't said that, they would have agreed because Zhao Hai had grain, and they were eager for him to be their foreign prince consort.
Next came the drinking. In the orc tribes, it was unacceptable not to drink; refusing to drink would mean losing face. So regardless of whether one could drink or not, everyone had to partake.
As expected, Zhao Hai got drunk once again, but today he was pretending. Upon returning to the spatial realm, he remained sober and quickly felt better after drinking a couple of cups of Spatial Water.
Laura and the others were sitting in the living room. Zhao Hai glanced at the three of them and smiled, "Tomorrow we might be able to contact the Great War Tribe of the orcs. I'm really curious to see what the Great War Tribe is like."
