Chapter 466: Going to Jason's House
Lando shook his head and said, "Forget it, the Robert family can do whatever they want. We should stick to our usual style of doing things. By the way, Little Hai, how do you plan to deal with the Robert family?"
Lando knew that Zhao Hai was not someone who would suffer in silence. Since Terry dared to plot against him this time, it would be strange if he didn’t retaliate.
Zhao Hai smiled slightly and said, "Just wait a few days. I definitely won’t let the Robert family off the hook. If they really want to clash with me head-on, I will destroy their thousand-year family."
Lando and Smith were unaware of Zhao Hai's true strength, but upon hearing his words, they couldn't help but frown, feeling that Zhao Hai was being overly confident.
Smith spoke up, "Little Hai, you must be careful. A thousand-year family is not as simple as it looks. I heard that some long-lived ninth-level experts can live for over a thousand years. As far as we know, the Robert family has at least five ninth-level experts. It would be better not to clash with them if possible. Who knows what hidden cards they might have?"
Zhao Hai nodded and said, "I know what I'm doing, Uncle, so you don’t need to worry."
Smith knew Zhao Hai had discretion, so he didn’t insist any further. He simply nodded and asked, "So, do you have any plans for today?"
Zhao Hai thought for a moment and said, "Last night I had a good chat with Jason, and we can be considered friends now. I’d like to visit the Krook family today and bring them some gifts. Divine Grace Day is coming soon, and if I wait until after that, it would be too late."
Smith nodded, "It makes sense to visit them. Although the Krook family isn't a thousand-year family, they have considerable strength in the Roson Empire, so it’s worth a visit."
Lando also nodded and said, "I really didn't expect you could get along with that Jason. He's notoriously sharp-tongued and has offended countless people. It really is a challenge for you."
Zhao Hai smiled slightly but said nothing. Lando glanced at the sky and said, "If you're going, it's better to go early. I have things to do, so I'll be leaving now." After saying this, he stood up and turned to leave. Zhao Hai and Smith hurried to send him off out of the yard.
After Lando left, Smith pulled Zhao Hai back into the house. After they sat down, Smith asked, "Little Hai, tell me, how confident are you in dealing with the Robert family?"
Zhao Hai replied without hesitation, "Ten out of ten!"
Smith frowned slightly at Zhao Hai's confidence. He found it hard to believe that Zhao Hai could be so assured, considering the strength of a thousand-year family was no joke. He thought Zhao Hai was being overly arrogant.
Seeing Smith's expression, Zhao Hai knew what he was thinking and continued, "Don’t worry, Uncle. When I say I have ten out of ten confidence, I mean it."
Smith looked at Zhao Hai and sighed, "Alright, anyway, if anything happens, your father won't just stand by. You should feel free to act; the Karlqi family has your back."
Zhao Hai smiled slightly, "Thank you, Uncle. If there’s nothing else, I’ll take my leave now."
Smith nodded, "Go ahead." Zhao Hai stood up, bid farewell, and left, planning to visit the Krook family to bring them some seafood.
Back in his own yard, Zhao Hai informed Laura and the others about his plans to visit the Krook family. Laura and the others didn’t oppose, as they had seen Zhao Hai chatting with Jason last night and knew their relationship was good.
Zhao Hai did not plan to take Laura with him this time. He thought it would be inappropriate to bring them along for just delivering gifts. He asked Shun Yi and Xu Wanying to prepare the carriage and then slowly made his way to the Krook family’s residence.
The main residence of the Krook family was also located just outside Karsen City and wasn’t far from the Karlqi family. It took just over an hour by carriage after passing a few small hills.
The hill where the Krook family castle was located was similar to the one belonging to the Karlqi family, though slightly smaller. There were not as many trees on the hill, and the castle looked comparable in size to the Dark Soldier Fortress of the Karlqi family, but it appeared newer and lacked a bit of the ancient charm.
