Terry and Jason greeted Charlie and then walked into the hall. The other guests in the hall also came over to bow to the grand prince, and Zhao Hai was no exception.

If your highness wishes to collaborate, it seems you can only discuss it with His Highness the Third Prince.”

The grand prince's earlier words were indeed quite cryptic. His intention to collaborate with Zhao Hai was actually to inquire whether there was a chance of Zhao Hai switching allegiance to him.

However, Zhao Hai’s response was very clear; he was currently under the employ of Charlie and could not possibly switch to another. The moment Charlie heard the grand prince’s words about poaching, his face changed dramatically, but now he was beaming with joy, clearly pleased with Zhao Hai’s response.

Zhao Hai also realized he had lost the only opportunity to develop a relationship with the grand prince. However, he had no regrets; one shouldn’t be indecisive, as it often leads to poor outcomes.

At that moment, Terry and Jason approached Zhao Hai. Terry smiled and said, “Little Hai, I didn’t expect you to be here! If I had known, I would have come earlier.”

Zhao Hai was taken aback by Terry’s casual address, as they weren’t close enough for such familiarity. Terry’s action clearly indicated a desire to draw closer.

However, Zhao Hai was not pleased by this; on the contrary, he became even more cautious. From Meigen, he had learned that Terry was a scheming individual, and now he was essentially Terry's romantic rival. The more enthusiastic Terry was, the more it indicated his intent to deal with Zhao Hai.

Although he thought about these things, Zhao Hai did not show it on his face and instead smiled, “Brother Terry is too kind. I believe you know my relationship with His Highness the Third Prince. How could I possibly miss such an occasion?”

Terry wanted to close the gap between them using informal terms, so Zhao Hai played along, using the same term to confuse Terry, while still remaining wary of him in his heart.
