Chapter 46: Red Dot

Meg smiled as she looked at Zhao Hai. She truly didn't expect a person's personality to change so drastically. The previous Adam was a reckless, extroverted fool with an endless heart. But now, Zhao Hai was an introverted, steady, and meticulous young man. She preferred the current Zhao Hai.

Seeing Meg silent, Zhao Hai was at a loss and said, "Just sit down. I'll go check the situation outside." With that, he turned and walked to the screen at the bed, opening it to observe the situation outside.

The three-dimensional map of the castle appeared once again, but there were no green dots on it anymore. Since yesterday, Zhao Hai hadn't seen any green dots on this map.

Once he saw the absence of green dots on the map, Zhao Hai lost interest. He had seen clearly how much the castle had been damaged these days and didn't want to look anymore.

Zhao Hai sighed. He planned to wait for another two days. If the green dots still didn't appear on the map, he would let Merlin and the others go out to see if the magical beasts had retreated.

Meg was standing beside Zhao Hai, also looking at the screen. She had learned how to read this screen over the past few days, but she couldn't operate it. She could only do so with Zhao Hai's permission, just like everything else in this space; without Zhao Hai's approval, no one could operate anything.

Wood tried to pick up a small shovel and a bucket, but it seemed those two items were nailed to the ground. With Wood's strength, he couldn't budge them at all.

Meg understood that the green dots on the map represented magical beasts. They had been very concerned about the situation outside these past few days, so she was aware that since yesterday, no magical beasts had appeared on the screen. At that time, Merlin wanted to go out to check, but Zhao Hai stopped her.

Merlin didn't strongly oppose it; she understood Zhao Hai's concerns. But now, seeing that there were still no green dots on the map, Meg became anxious and said to Zhao Hai, "Young master, there may not be any magical beasts outside anymore. Let me go out and take a look; I'm fast and won't be in any danger."

Zhao Hai shook his head and said, "It's not the right time yet. Those magical beasts just disappeared; they might still be wandering outside on the wasteland. If they sense there are living beings in the castle, they might rush back in, and that would cause us even more trouble. It's safer to stay in the space for two more days."

Hearing Zhao Hai's words, Meg felt it wasn't appropriate to insist any longer and nodded. Suddenly, Meg seemed to notice something and looked at the screen, exclaiming, "Young master, why is there a red dot appearing on the screen?"

Zhao Hai, whose attention was not on the screen, hadn't noticed the red dot, but Meg did. A small red dot appeared on the screen, moving at a very fast speed. Zhao Hai realized this dot was moving rapidly through the rooms of the Main Fortress, which surprised him as he had never encountered such a situation before.

Zhao Hai quickly tapped the screen. Due to the red dot's speed, he couldn't click on it directly, so he tapped the living room area, waiting quietly to see what this red dot was.

Meg's eyes were fixed on the screen, occasionally glancing at the upper part of the screen where a reduced three-dimensional map was located. From that map, the movement direction of the red dot was visible. The red dot was currently active on the third floor, moving in a very orderly manner, exploring each room, but at a fast pace.

Before long, the red dot came down from the third floor and quickly moved towards the living room. Zhao Hai and Meg quickly focused their attention there, eager to see what this red dot was.

Suddenly, a shadow flashed on the screen, and a person appeared, leaving both Zhao Hai and Meg stunned. However, upon seeing who it was, they both felt joy—it was none other than Galen, who had been missing for several days.

Seeing Galen, Meg couldn't help but cheer, grabbing Zhao Hai's shoulder and saying, "Young master, it's grandpa! He's back, and he's looking for us!"
