Chapter 447: Arrival in Karsen City
After having a meal with Trazeb, Zhao Hai and his companions left some seafood for Trazeb before heading to Mu En's place. After resting there for a bit, they boarded the ship and set out to sea.
The reason Zhao Hai chose to take a ship was to keep his whereabouts hidden from others, creating an air of mystery around him. Only by doing this could he ensure his safety.
Of course, with Zhao Hai's current strength, he was no longer afraid of the Church of Light. However, if he revealed all his power, he believed he wouldn't have an easy life. Instead, people across the continent would likely unite against him due to his overwhelming strength, which posed a greater threat to the rulers than the Church of Light itself. Thus, until the last moment, Zhao Hai had no intention of fully exposing his abilities.
People tend to harbor a resistant mentality towards excessively powerful entities because, in the face of such might, they feel utterly incapable of resistance. Generally, when confronted with formidable beings, people look for ways to eliminate them to safeguard their own interests.
Zhao Hai didn't want to be that kind of existence. He preferred to keep others guessing about his strength, maintaining an element of mystery. While people are curious about mysterious things and approach them with caution, they are less likely to immediately seek to eradicate them.
Zhao Hai believed that the number of people on the continent who dared to confront him had significantly dwindled. He had already dealt with a ninth-level expert, and even those who might consider acting against him would have to think it over carefully. This was the manifestation of strength; by showcasing his abilities, he instilled fear in others, making them less likely to act against him.
Sitting on the boat and gazing at the sea, Zhao Hai let out a sigh. He had just drunk some spatial water, and now the smell of alcohol had dissipated from his body.
Laura and the others stood beside him, enjoying the tranquility of being with Zhao Hai, filled with warmth.
Zhao Hai turned to glance at Laura and the others, smiling as he said, “The space has now leveled up to level forty-eight. I really didn’t expect this Pure Iron Armor to bring me such great benefits. Although we can’t obtain this armor, we’ve still gained quite a lot from it.”
Laura replied with a smile, “It’s great that the space can level up. We’re only two levels away from level fifty. I really want to know what kind of changes will occur once the space reaches level fifty.”
Zhao Hai chuckled wryly, “It won’t be that easy. Pure Iron is definitely a treasure of the highest level on the continent; it’s rare and hard to find. Even so, it only allowed the space to level up by three levels. At this point, leveling up is much more difficult, and those last two levels will be quite a challenge.”
Laura smiled, “What’s there to be afraid of? I think our luck has been pretty good lately. Just look at how many levels our space has leveled up recently! I believe those two levels won’t take too long to achieve.”
Zhao Hai smiled but didn’t reply. By the time night fell, they had finally exited the waters of Jadewater City. Noticing that there were no other boats or people around, Zhao Hai directly stored the Peach Blossom into the space and they went to rest there. It was already dark, and even if they headed to Karsen City, they wouldn’t be able to enter the city gates, so they had to wait.
Moreover, Zhao Hai had never been to Karsen City before. For now, he could only release the Blood Eagle and have it fly straight to Karsen City with the staff. He informed the Blood Eagle of the direction to Karsen City and shared some unique landmarks with Cai’er to keep an eye out for, and then they went to rest.
The next morning, after breakfast, they went to the living room and, sure enough, the Blood Eagle was already soaring above Karin City, which made Zhao Hai very pleased.
