Chapter 432: The Attack
Zhao Hai really didn't expect this to happen. He glanced at Ivan and said, “I didn't expect Boric to have such ambitions. It's good that we can deal with them today. Let's see how much longer Boric can act tough.”
After saying that, he turned and headed toward the city wall below, with Ivan and the others quickly following. Once Zhao Hai reached the bottom of the city, he immediately released the alien creature and then took out the Budah Family's Mad Dragon War Banner, attaching it to the flagpole and flipping it onto the back of the alien creature. He then climbed inside the creature with Galen and Merlin. Seeing this situation, Ivan felt he had to join, and Zhao Hai didn’t stop him, allowing him to enter the alien creature’s interior space as well.
The group settled on the second level of the space, which had a complete tea set. After Zhao Hai sat down, he turned to Ivan and said, “Uncle Ivan, have them open the city gate. The rest is up to us.”
Seeing Galen and Merlin's calm expressions, Ivan didn't hesitate and immediately ordered people to follow through. This time, Ivan didn't enter the alien creature by himself; he was accompanied by two guards, after all, Ivan was a duke, and it was impossible for him to go alone.
Once the order was given, the city gate opened immediately, and Zhao Hai and the others emerged from the city. The enemies outside soon noticed their movements, and everyone lined up, waiting for them.
The attackers surrounding Casa City were unaware that Zhao Hai had arrived. However, they knew of the Versailles Family's Bull Riders and were fearful of them, as the Bull Riders could contend with the orc cavalry. Their combat power was not to be underestimated. Because of this, they had dug several trenches outside the city gate to prevent the Bull Riders' charge.
However, they guessed wrong this time. Just as they prepared to welcome the Versailles Family's cavalry, they suddenly saw a massive undead being slowly emerge from the city gate. This undead creature was over twenty meters long and more than ten meters tall, with a dark green skeleton covered in spikes, looking incredibly menacing.
On top of this undead being, a large flag was billowing in the wind. The blood-red flag bore the image of a ferocious dragon, and although its surface was somewhat tattered, it exuded a killing intent as if it had seen many battles!
The mercenaries lined up outside were stunned. They never expected that what emerged this time was actually an undead being. At that moment, their leader suddenly remembered another target for this operation: wasn't it a dark mage?
He immediately shouted, and the ranks behind him tightened up. Then, groups of troops began to gather toward them, preparing to confront Zhao Hai.
At the same time, the captain rushed to the camp to summon the mages present. They knew that Zhao Hai was a dark mage, and the best way to deal with a mage was with another mage. This time, they had brought no fewer than fifty mages to counter Zhao Hai and the Versailles Family.
These fifty mages were specifically brought to deal with Zhao Hai and serve as mobile artillery during the attack, so they usually rested in the camp and would only emerge during critical moments. The soldiers typically used crossbows and magic cannons during their assaults.
Under the gaze of the guards, the undead creature slowly crawled over the trenches they had dug. While the trenches were not narrow, they posed little challenge to the towering alien creature, which crossed them in no time.
Seeing the size of the alien creature, the captain realized it wouldn't be easy to deal with. He wanted to wait for the mages from the camp to come out before confronting the alien, so he slightly withdrew his troops, leaving a bit of room for the creature.
However, they made a mistake by leaving Zhao Hai and his team this space to maneuver. Sitting inside the alien, Zhao Hai, upon emerging from the trenches, did not immediately attack the soldiers but instead paused, leaving those soldiers puzzled about Zhao Hai's intentions.
