Chapter 430: Women’s Luck
Cai'er moved quickly and soon informed Zhao Hai that the rabbit had already been released. After a while, they could let the flying eagle go as well. Zhao Hai, however, was not in a hurry. He had just left Tianshui City and still needed to find a deserted place before he could enter the space.
As soon as he left Tianshui City, Zhao Hai immediately released the alien creature and led everyone inside it. This time, the space had upgraded, and the alien creature had grown larger, now nearly twenty meters long and ten meters tall. The interior space had also expanded into a two-level area totaling over fifty square meters. Zhao Hai and Laura were now seated on the upper level, while Mu Tou and the others were on the lower level.
Upon entering the alien creature, it turned and swiftly swam into Lüjiang. The alien creature could swim, although it couldn't do so for long since it was not a water-type magical beast or an undead being.
As soon as the alien entered the water, Cai'er informed Zhao Hai that the flying eagle had already been released. They would arrive at Casa City in a few hours.
From Rubble Mountain to Tianshui City, a fast horse would take half a day, while transporting goods would take about two days. However, with the flying eagle, it would only take about two hours.
Zhao Hai was not in a hurry and directed the alien to swim toward the sea. Now, the alien had submerged into the water and was diving.
Because the alien was not a water-type magical beast, it couldn't stay submerged for too long. Zhao Hai genuinely wished to obtain a water-type undead being; the blade scale whale was a good choice.
Although he was thinking about this, Zhao Hai knew it wasn't the right time for such thoughts. After diving for about two hours, the flying eagle had already reached Casa City. Zhao Hai and the others quickly entered the space.
This left Laura and her companions feeling a bit regretful. It was their first time seeing the ocean like this, and although it was getting late, there seemed to be a faint light in the sea. They could see various small fish swimming around, a unique experience for them all.
Not only was it their first time, but it was also Zhao Hai's first experience. He had never come to the sea for fun before, let alone sit inside the transparent alien creature to observe the sea closely.
However, it was a pity that the alien was not a water-type magical beast and couldn't dive too deeply. They could only play in shallow waters and were too afraid to venture into deeper areas.
Once they entered the space, they quickly came out again. This time, they emerged in the courtyard that Galen had bought earlier. That courtyard had originally been used as a temporary teleportation point, but after their retreat, it became useless.
Since Galen had already bought that courtyard, no one would come there, and Zhao Hai and the others appeared in that courtyard.
Zhao Hai didn't linger in the courtyard. As soon as he appeared, he immediately released a horse and rode directly to the Duke's Manor. He didn't use the alien creature to avoid misunderstandings, especially since a war was happening in Casa City.
Although Zhao Hai knew about the war in Casa City, he was still taken aback when he emerged from the small courtyard. The city looked nothing like it used to.
Casa City had originally been the capital of the Versailles Principality, known as the Pearl of the North, with a bustling commercial atmosphere filled with people coming and going. However, now it was eerily quiet, resembling a ghost town.
Suddenly, a loud boom echoed, startling Zhao Hai. He realized the sound came from the city walls. He was taken aback and his expression changed; he hadn't expected the enemy to still be attacking at night. No wonder Ivan said they couldn't hold on much longer.
Zhao Hai's expression changed, and without saying anything, he urged his horse toward the Duke's Manor. Their movement quickly startled the people and soldiers in the city, and soon, soldiers rushed toward them while the townspeople hurriedly closed their windows and doors.
