Chapter 402: Magedel Family
The people on the enemy ship had clearly noticed Zhao Hai's actions. They had not anticipated the variety of Zhao Hai's attack methods. Previously, their information indicated that Zhao Hai was merely a dark mage, but now that they had engaged him, they realized he was actually a multi-element mage.
However, the opposing crew were seasoned fighters. Once they discovered Zhao Hai and his crew's movements, they immediately reacted. The two water dragons that had been used against the ice surface surged forward, heading straight for the ice.
But they did not expect that the undead beings Zhao Hai had dispatched this time were of a considerably high level; regular attacks had no effect on them at all.
As soon as the undead beings noticed the enemy was about to use magic to attack them, two of them flashed with a green light. With a swing of their weapons, two sword qi shot directly at the water dragons. Upon contact, the water dragons scattered into the sea as if struck by a knife.
Charlie stood on the Peach Blossom, dumbfounded by the scene. He had never seen undead beings that could unleash fighting spirit; it was a real eye-opener for him today.
The people on the enemy ship were also caught off guard by this outcome. For a moment, they forgot to retaliate, allowing the undead beings to quickly climb aboard their vessel.
Once the undead beings boarded, the enemy crew was rendered incapable of attacking back, as they realized that these undead beings possessed remarkable attacking power, comparable to that of eighth-level warriors.
Eighth-level warriors? That was a concept that could make any small family revere them like ancestors. They could practically support a family, and yet Zhao Hai had casually released so many; it was truly astonishing.
But that was not all. Zhao Hai continued to unleash more undead beings, and eventually, he even dispatched the cavalry from the jackal tribe.
These jackal tribe cavalry members were small in stature but incredibly swift. Before the people on the ship could react, they had already charged onto the enemy vessel.
Zhao Hai calculated that the enemy had sent out six six-masted ironclad warships, while he had already deployed nearly twelve thousand undead beings—two thousand per ship should suffice to deal with them.
Zhao Hai paused, quietly observing the enemy ships. Although there was still some resistance, it was feeble and ineffective.
Seeing this, Zhao Hai finally relaxed. He turned to Charlie with a smile and said, "Your Highness, it seems my fleet is about to expand. What do you think? Would you like to try out two ships? We could even modify one to be like mine, and fish out at sea for fun?"
Charlie, regaining his composure, looked at the attacking ships with a complicated expression. He shook his head and said, "Forget it. I don't have that much time to go out to sea. Let's keep these ships for now. But I think the identities of the people attacking us are not simple. Six six-masted ironclad warships are not something an ordinary family can afford."
Zhao Hai nodded. "Indeed, I suspect these people are coming for me, not for you, Your Highness. You might have been caught in my troubles this time."
Charlie smiled. "What do you mean caught in trouble? Right now, you are helping me, so your enemies are naturally my enemies as well. When they attack you, they are also attacking me. There's no such thing as trouble here."
Zhao Hai smiled slightly and chose not to say more. He understood that Charlie was trying to win him over, and this kind of persuasion was quite beneficial for him.
At this moment, the enemy ship had nearly calmed down. Zhao Hai turned to Charlie and said, "Your Highness, it's done. Soon we will know who has come to attack us."
With a wave of his hand, six groups of black mist flew out, encircling the six ships. Before long, the people on those ships became busy, and Charlie noticed that some undead beings were replacing sails.
Generally, large ships carry spare sails. They sail the seas for long periods and need to be prepared for storms that may tear their sails apart or blow them away. They can’t just wait to die on the ship, so large vessels usually have spare sails onboard.
