CHAPTER 304: Ultimate Weapon
For the orcs, the battle flag is of utmost importance; it represents their pride and life. One could say that the orc tribe would rather lose their lives than abandon their battle flag.
Now, with their most important battle flag cut down and carelessly thrown to the ground, the members of the Bullfighting Tribe felt as if the sky had fallen. Their goal, for which they had fought so hard, was lost, and many of them almost immediately gave up resisting. Some simply stood there dumbfounded, only to be killed by the Herculean Bull Tribe's axes, while others turned and fled into the endless prairie. In such weather, fleeing without any supplies was essentially a death sentence.
Even Wells did not expect the Bullfighting Tribe's collapse to come so quickly. They had barely engaged in any battle and had already achieved victory; all that was left was to chase down the fleeing members of the Bullfighting Tribe.
However, the battle continued. There were too many members of the Bullfighting Tribe; many of them still did not know that their clan leader had fled and some were still resisting. But they had not organized any effective resistance; they were merely engaging in futile struggles.
The fighting went on from darkness until dawn. By this time, the resistance from the Bullfighting Tribe had weakened significantly; most had escaped. However, their slaves did not flee. These slaves were very aware that there was no way out for them if they attempted to run. It was better for them to stay behind, as the Herculean Bull Tribe would not kill them. They were slaves, and the Herculean Bull Tribe would not easily kill their slaves; they were merely exchanging one master for another.
As those slaves had thought, the Herculean Bull Tribe did not pay them any mind; they were focused on hunting down the Bullfighting Tribe members. They had completely forgotten the boasts about the mighty men of the Bullfighting Tribe. Whoever they saw from the Bullfighting Tribe, regardless of age or gender, was met with an axe. Everyone was in a blood frenzy.
What Wells and the others did not expect was that the captive members of the Herculean Bull Tribe began their actions as soon as they started attacking the main camp. They blocked small groups of fleeing Bullfighting Tribe members and threw their Flying Axes at them, killing those who tried to escape. They then rushed over to retrieve their axes and collect the weapons of the Bullfighting Tribe, before looking for another group. Throughout that night, they managed to eliminate over thirty groups of fleeing Bullfighting Tribe members, totaling around ten thousand people. This was far beyond Wells' expectations.
He had thought that these captives, having endured such torture for so many days, would have lost all combat effectiveness. However, he didn't expect that these old, women, and children could achieve such results; it was truly remarkable.
Little did Wells know that the combat effectiveness of these people was due to Zhao Hai. Zhao Hai had added the life liquid into the sheep soup they drank, allowing them to recover quickly. Many of the elders were even stronger than they had been before their capture.
Zhao Hai did not participate in the chase; instead, he found the storage area of the Bullfighting Tribe's supplies and secured it. He was afraid that some desperate Bullfighting Tribers would set fire to the supplies.
Because of Zhao Hai's decision, the blood-sucking mosquitoes did not attack other members of the Bullfighting Tribe; they merely guarded the supply depot. At the same time, Zhao Hai commanded his undead beings to extinguish fires and turn all remaining members of the Bullfighting Tribe in the camp into undead beings.
As Zhao Hai transformed the Bullfighting Tribe members into undead beings, he counted their numbers. By the end of the night, he had already discovered over three hundred thousand corpses of the Bullfighting Tribe.
The Bullfighting Tribe had a total population of over eight hundred thousand, including the elderly and children. Zhao Hai had found over three hundred thousand corpses, and most of these were adult men and women, as they would take up arms to resist. Those who resisted and encountered the Herculean Bull Tribe would only face death.
