Chapter 259: Moving Forward

Yale and Mendez both smiled, feeling that Wells' recognition of this blood oath brother was truly a great deal. Not only did he have a large stockpile of food, but he also possessed strong combat power, which exceeded their expectations.

Wells let go of Zhao Hai and said, "Brother, you are now my blood oath brother. How you help me, others can't say anything about it, ha ha ha. Just rest assured and help your brother to take back the position of the clan leader."

Zhao Hai smiled and replied, "I still hope we don't have to fight. In a life-and-death battle, it's the Herculean Bull Tribe that ends up suffering the most. If they suffer too many casualties, it will provide an opportunity for other races."

The smile on Wells' face faded. He nodded and said, "It's precisely because of this concern that I haven't clashed head-on with Gasol. But I didn't expect him to resort to such extremes; he's too ruthless."

Zhao Hai nodded helplessly. This time, Gasol had really gone too far by killing his own father. Although Zhao Hai had heard of such things before, he never thought it would happen so close to him. Honestly, it felt quite terrible.

Mendez patted Zhao Hai on the shoulder and said, "Alright, don't think too much. If Gasol really colluded with those human merchants to harm his father, then he is not worthy of being the clan leader of the Herculean Bull Tribe."

Zhao Hai nodded and said, "Okay, we need to prepare. I think my Blood Eagles are about to return." As soon as he finished speaking, two eagle cries came from the sky. Zhao Hai and the others looked up to see five Blood Eagles slowly flying down. Among them, four Blood Eagles were divided into two groups, each clutching a flying magical beast in their claws. The two flying magical beasts were clearly not dead, sometimes struggling but unable to break free from the Blood Eagles' grasp.

Wells didn't expect Zhao Hai's phantom beasts to catch those two magical beasts back so quickly. Zhao Hai, however, was not surprised at all. After all, there had been at least fifty Blood Eagles attacking the two blazing birds. If they couldn’t catch them, Zhao Hai would have cooked all the Blood Eagles.

Zhao Hai waved his hand, and the five Blood Eagles immediately descended from the sky. As they landed, Wells and the others began to feel something was amiss.

These five Blood Eagles were all over two meters tall, each one majestic and brilliant, looking much more like magical beasts than ordinary phantom beasts.

Under the feet of four of the Blood Eagles were two large birds. These birds, while not as huge as the Blood Eagles, were still sizable, standing over a meter tall, with wings spanning nearly five meters. Most notably, their tails were long, especially the three tail feathers, each over three meters long and a beautiful fiery red.

These two birds were not red in color; instead, they were a light blue, adorned with a crown-like ring of small feathers on their heads. Their bodies were not as robust as the Blood Eagles, but their streamlined shapes suggested that if they flew, they would look like arrows shooting through the sky.

Both of these flaming birds were injured, with feathers torn and wings stained with blood. Clearly, the Blood Eagles were not being courteous; Zhao Hai had ordered them to capture live prey, which didn’t mean they couldn’t injure them.

Curious, Zhao Hai glanced at the two birds. He had learned from the Blood Eagles that these two birds were very fast and had strong combat capabilities. They were not just fire-type magical beasts, but also had wind-type attributes, making them quick and ferocious in attack. If Zhao Hai hadn’t deployed fifty Blood Eagles for safety, he really wouldn’t have been able to catch them.

Zhao Hai took a close look at the two flaming birds before turning to Wells and asking, "Is it these two?"

Wells understood Zhao Hai's meaning but was still mesmerized by the five Blood Eagles. They were so majestic that they hardly looked like phantom beasts. If phantom beasts were this strong, magical beasts would have already been pushed off the stage.
