Chapter 234: A Precious Gift
At this moment, Laura hurriedly performed a hand on heart gesture to the several members of the big-bellied pig tribe in the carriage, saying, “Dear friends from the pig tribe, we are merely merchants of the human race and mean you no harm. Please let your loyal shepherd dogs return to their master.”
The big-bellied pig tribe members naturally noticed the convoy behind Laura, and one of the leading pig tribe members quickly put down his goat skull hammer and bowed to Laura, saying, “Respected human female merchant, please forgive our rudeness. You know, I must ensure the safety of my tribesmen here on the prairie.” After speaking, he called out a couple of times, and the dogs immediately returned obediently to their side.
At this point, Laura also stepped down from the carriage, and the pig tribe members jumped off their mounts and walked toward Laura and her group. They stood about two meters apart, and Laura bowed to the pig tribe member, saying, “President of the peach blossom chamber of commerce, Laura pays her respects to the brave warrior of the pig tribe.” Zhao Hai and the others also hurriedly bowed to the pig tribe member.
The pig tribe member was quite polite as well; he bowed slightly to Laura, saying, “Big-bellied pig tribe, Goat Head Hammer Tribe Clan Leader Spill salutes the beautiful Miss Laura.” Spill was over two meters tall, and standing in front of him, Laura, who was one hundred and eighty centimeters tall, looked like a little child. However, he was very courteous, which made Zhao Hai unconsciously develop a good impression of him.
Laura smiled and said, “Respected Clan Leader Spill, my merchant team would like to spend the night in your camp tonight. May we?”
Spill laughed heartily, “Beautiful Miss Laura, this is precisely what we desire. Please get on the carriage and come with us to my camp. I will prepare mountain goats, brew milk tea, and serve you our best food to entertain you.”
Laura smiled and said, “Thank you, generous Clan Leader Spill, please lead the way.” Spill bowed to Laura, turned, and mounted his steed, heading toward the camp, while Laura and her group returned to their carriage.
Zhao Hai watched the departing pig tribe members and turned to Laura, asking, “Will they really prepare the mountain goats for us?”
Laura laughed and replied, “Of course they will. The orcs on the prairie are very welcoming to merchants. As long as you mean no harm to them, they are very hospitable. Brother Hai, take out some vegetables. There is nothing better than vegetables as a gift for them.”
Zhao Hai nodded and took out some vegetables to place in one of the carts. These vegetables had been stored in the space and were still very fresh, appearing as if freshly picked.
After preparing, Laura's convoy slowly made its way toward the Goat Head Hammer Tribe’s camp. Laura felt no surprise over such a strange name as Goat Head Hammer Tribe; on the Orc Prairie, there were all kinds of bizarre names. Not to mention Goat Head Hammer, even if it were called the Sheep Dung Tribe, Laura would not find it strange.
Before they could enter the village, several mountain goats suddenly ran out from the tribe's camp. These mountain goats were all adults, and on their backs sat a few children from the big-bellied pig tribe.
These children appeared to be just over ten years old, each wearing leather garments, with big bellies and cute little pig heads, making them look very adorable.
The children ran up to Laura's carriage, curiously looking at Laura and Zhao Hai, who was dressed in a magic robe. One of the tallest children walked over to the carriage, bowed to Laura, and said, “Respected merchant lady, my father sent me to lead you.” It seemed this child was Spill’s son.
Laura immediately smiled and said, “Dear young warriors, please lead the way ahead.” It was likely that Laura’s comment calling them young warriors made those little pig heads very happy, as one child puffed out his little belly and proudly walked ahead of the carriage.
