Chapter 205: Mutation
Before Laura could take action, Klein picked up a Spatial Bag and examined it closely. The Spatial Bag looked like an ordinary cloth bag, gray-brown in color, with a small yellow twine tied at the opening. It appeared to have no remarkable features at all, falling short of even the exquisitely crafted handbags made for women in the continent.
If such a bag were thrown in front of a noblewoman or a young lady without telling them it was a Spatial Bag, they would probably not even bother to pick it up or give it a second glance.
However, Klein wasn't looking at it from that perspective; he was searching for the magic circle inscribed on the Spatial Bag. Klein was a researcher of magic circles, and he loved to study the magic circles on various magical tools. Generally, spatial items contained intricately designed magic circles, and these circles could only be activated by a spatial sorcerer of a high level. Otherwise, having just the magic circle would be of no use at all.
The so-called activation was essentially a sealing process. Once a spatial sorcerer reached a higher level, they could use their magical power to carve out a subspace and then seal that subspace. This was the activation process.
The magic circles on spatial equipment were, to put it simply, a very special kind of sealing magic circle. Its main function was to seal the subspace carved out by the spatial sorcerer, allowing it to be accessed whenever needed.
Because of this reason, many spatial magical tools in the continent were made of metal, often from a combination of various metals. This was because the requirements for the sealing magic circle were quite high, making it difficult to create.
What Zhao Hai took out was a Spatial Bag, a type of spatial magical tool that had never appeared on the continent before, and he hadn't even heard of it. Naturally, Klein was curious.
Klein carefully examined the Spatial Bag but found nothing particularly special about it. He then picked up the twine tied at the bag's opening and scrutinized it closely, but still found nothing unusual. Furrowing his brow, he opened the bag.
As soon as he opened the bag, a projection of a magic circle suddenly appeared at the opening. This magic circle's projection was blue, emanating a shimmering blue light.
Klein pondered for a moment; he turned the opening of the bag, and the projection of the magic circle rotated along with the direction of the bag's opening. He covered the magic circle over a chair and said, “Collect!” The chair immediately vanished, and when he said, “Release!” the chair reappeared in its original position.
Klein nodded, saying, “Indeed, this magic circle is not meant for sealing but for collecting and releasing. What a good thing! How was it made?” He fell into deep thought as he spoke.
Zhao Hai and the others stared at Klein, dumbfounded. Zhao Hai initially wanted to explain how to use the Spatial Bag to Klein, but he didn't expect Klein to be so clever, figuring it out immediately. However, his reaction was quite strange.
Seeing Klein like this, Laura knew he had once again immersed himself in the study of magic circles. Even if someone set off fireworks next to him, he wouldn’t hear it. She couldn’t help but smile wryly and said to Zhao Hai, “Brother Hai, don’t mind him. My dad is like this; he loves studying magic circles and magical tools. Once he gets into it, he forgets everything else.”
Zhao Hai observed Klein and thought for a moment. Klein resembled those mad scientists; they could forget everything for the sake of their research. Such people were truly admirable.
Zhao Hai shook his head and said, “It’s rare to have someone like Uncle. It’s because of people like him that magic on the continent has developed to this level.”
Laura smiled sweetly when she heard Zhao Hai praise Klein and picked up a Spatial Bag to examine it closely in her hand. Zhao Hai smiled and said, “You just saw the usage; this Spatial Bag isn’t very large, only about ten cubic meters. Anything larger than that won’t fit.”
