Chapter 195: Flower Guardian Alliance

Zhao Hai couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed. However, after a moment of thought, he understood; if ninth-level experts appeared so easily, the world would be thrown into chaos.

Moreover, to be strict, the giant mosquito was not much different from the other soul-eating blood mosquitoes. It had simply lived for a long time, allowing it to reach the ninth-level. In other aspects, it probably wasn't anything special.

Galen and the others looked at Zhao Hai with confusion, not understanding why Zhao Hai had released another mosquito. Zhao Hai wasn’t concerned about that; he was just thinking about how to retract the mosquito. Unexpectedly, at that moment, a projection appeared again, displaying the prompt: "Would you like to retract the mosquito?"

This caught Zhao Hai by surprise. He hadn't expected that the mosquito could be retracted this way. He quickly selected "yes," and the mosquito disappeared.

After seeing the mosquito vanish, Zhao Hai turned to the giant mosquito and asked, "What is your name?"

The giant mosquito looked at Zhao Hai and replied, "Name? What is a name?"

Zhao Hai sighed. It seemed that this giant mosquito hadn't gradually cultivated to become a ninth-level expert; otherwise, why wouldn't it understand such a basic concept? If it had naturally evolved to ninth-level, it should have had simple intelligence at sixth or seventh level, and by eighth level, its wisdom would not be inferior to that of a human. How could it not have a name and not even know what a name was? It seemed like it had some unique encounter.

Zhao Hai glanced at the giant mosquito and said, "Let’s do this: your name will be Zhao Wen. Zhao Wen is your name, and from now on, when I call Zhao Wen, I will be calling you." The giant mosquito nodded in a somewhat confused manner.

Seeing Zhao Wen's expression, Zhao Hai asked, "Can you shrink a bit? Or can you only maintain this size?"

Zhao Wen quickly replied, "I can shrink, down to the size of those blood mosquitoes." After saying this, it slowly shrank until it became the same size as an ordinary soul-eating blood mosquito, except its body looked like it was carved from blood jade. If Zhao Wen lay there motionless, others would surely think it was just a statue; it was too beautiful.

Zhao Hai nodded and turned to Galen, saying, "Grandpa Galen, let’s go inside and talk. I also want to ask Zhao Wen about the swamp."

Galen nodded, curiously glancing at Zhao Wen. However, they didn't dare be as casual as Zhao Hai. Each of them looked at Zhao Wen with a mix of curiosity and some awe.

Once they entered the house, Zhao Hai looked at Zhao Wen and asked, "When did you become a ninth-level expert?"

Zhao Wen thought for a moment and responded, "I don’t know. We soul-eating blood mosquitoes don’t just suck blood. If we're hungry, we sometimes drink a bit of water. I don't remember how long ago it was, but one day I saw a drop of dark red substance on the ground. It looked like blood, so I drank it. After drinking it, I passed out, and when I woke up, I found that I was different from the other blood mosquitoes. My body became larger and I became stronger. Later, a large crocodile found me and said my level had reached ninth-level, inviting me to join the Flower Guardian Alliance."

Although Zhao Wen communicated using spiritual power, the spiritual power of a ninth-level expert was not something to be trifled with. They could control their spiritual power to allow one person or many to hear them, so both Zhao Hai and Galen could hear Zhao Wen speaking.

Zhao Hai asked confusedly, "What exactly was that drop of blood-like substance? Where did you see it?"

Zhao Wen shook its head and replied, "I don't know what it was. It seemed like the blood of some creature and had a bloody smell. However, that drop of blood had apparently been on the ground for a long time but had not dried up, maintaining its blood vitality. That’s why I drank it. I didn’t remember the exact location, and I’ve never seen anything like it again."
