Chapter 184: There Are Only Two Masters Here

The servant standing at the door suddenly flashed a cold light in his eyes, and with a quick movement of his hand, a short stick appeared, striking straight toward the man's feet.

Clearly, the man had anticipated the servant's move. He swiftly dodged to the side, simultaneously pulling out four flying darts that shot directly at the servant.

The servant deftly swung the short stick, knocking several darts to the ground. He then advanced, the short stick aimed directly at the man's chest.

The short stick was a deep black, lacking any sheen, but when wielded, it exuded a heavy feeling, indicating it was made of specially forged metal.

The man was no pushover himself. With a swift motion, he turned and revealed a stiletto sword in his hand. Just as Kun Zheng had said, this man was a death warrior under Carlo, and the stiletto was his weapon.

Just as the man drew the stiletto to block the servant's short stick, two feathered arrows suddenly flew in from an unknown direction, heading straight for his feet. The angles and timing of these arrows were impeccable, appearing just as he was unable to evade the servant's attack, cutting off his escape route.

Seeing he could not avoid the arrows, the man suddenly had a chain knife fly out from behind the door, knocking the two arrows down. The servant quickly jumped aside, holding the short stick in front of him, but his eyes were fixed on the door.

Two figures slowly emerged from inside. One was Oroja, and the other was one of the three people called by Oroja the previous night, holding the chain of the knife.

Oroja, with a grim expression, glared at the door-guarding servant and coldly said, “You are quite bold. Who gave you the courage to act against my people?”

The servant showed no fear and, looking at Oroja, coldly snorted, “Miss Laura has ordered that no one is to leave the manor today. Those who disobey will have their legs broken.”

Oroja's expression turned even colder as he replied, “Don’t forget, this is the majidel family’s residence. You are also a servant of the majidel family. Offending the fifth young master will bring you no good.”

The servant sneered, “I don’t care about the majidel family. I only know that in the Versailles Principality, there is only Xin Manor, and in Xin Manor, there are only two masters: Master Klein and Miss Laura. Others have no authority here.”

A glint flashed in Oroja's eyes as he said sternly, “Good! If you dare to say that, this manor belongs to the majidel family. Are you suggesting you dare to rebel?”

“Who said this manor belongs to the majidel family?” An aging voice interjected, and everyone turned to see Kun Zheng.

This time, Oroja did not greet Kun Zheng but said, “Isn’t the master here of the majidel surname? If it is of the majidel surname, then this is the majidel family's property.”

Kun Zheng scoffed, “What does a servant know? Let me tell you, in Xin Manor, there is no majidel family. Here, only two people have the final say: the second young master and Miss Laura. Miss Laura's orders are the law here. Anyone who dares to disrespect them will be executed on the spot. Mark my words; step out of this manor and see what happens.”

After saying this, Kun Zheng's calm gaze settled on Oroja. Upon meeting Kun Zheng's eyes, Oroja was momentarily stunned. The tranquility in Kun Zheng's eyes felt as if he were staring at a dead man, and Oroja realized that if he dared to step outside today, he would surely die.

Among those who had come this time, while there were certainly some capable individuals, facing Kun Zheng here would clearly put them at a disadvantage. Kun Zheng was a level eight expert, while none of them were at that level.

Oroja coldly looked at Kun Zheng and said, “Alright, since Chief Kun Zheng has said this, I have nothing more to say. However, I will report this matter truthfully to the fifth young master.”

Kun Zheng smiled slightly, “No one is stopping you from telling him, but you’d better not leave the manor. Otherwise, don’t blame me for being rude. And someone, break the legs of the one who barged in today; no one dares to act wildly in Xin Manor.”
