CHAPTER 16: Ratio

Zhao Hai casually tossed the water ball into the spring water of the space. Since the water wasn't toxic and had decent quality, he let it return to its source.

Next, Zhao Xin turned his attention to the pile of black soil that had yet to be processed. It wasn't a large pile, only about half a meter high.

Now Zhao Hai already knew that he could use spatial soil and Spatial Water to transform this black soil, but he wasn't in a hurry to start the transformation. He wanted to conduct an experiment to find the optimal transformation ratio.

After observing the pile of black soil for a moment, Zhao Hai said solemnly, “Shovel, divide it into ten equal parts.”

As soon as Zhao Hai's command was given, before the shovel could act, the black soil on the ground automatically split into ten equal parts. Zhao Xin was delighted to see this; it seemed that anything that entered this space could act according to its master's will, which was fantastic.

Thinking of this, Zhao Hai decided to conduct another experiment. He said seriously, “Space, calculate the optimal ratio of spatial soil and Spatial Water when improving black soil.”

“Exceeds authority, unable to calculate!”

“Damn it, relying on heaven and earth is not as good as relying on oneself. I should just do it myself,” Zhao Hai cursed under his breath, filled a bucket with spring water, and took a small shovel to scoop a shovel of spatial soil.

The reason Zhao Hai wanted to calculate this ratio was that he was afraid if he used too much spatial soil, the amount of soil in the space would decrease. If that happened, it would truly be a case of losing more than gaining.

Now, the space was Zhao Hai's greatest support. If it were to be damaged, all his plans would be in vain, and he would return to a state of poverty, waiting to die in this desolate land.

With this consideration, Zhao Hai wanted to calculate the optimal ratio of spatial soil and Spatial Water needed to improve the black soil. This would not only better enhance the black soil but also ensure that neither spatial soil nor Spatial Water was used excessively.

Although the space here was basically the same as Zhao Hai's perfect game setup, it had become his last reliance. He couldn’t afford to be careless like in a game. Every step had to be calculated.

Zhao Hai first sprinkled Spatial Water onto the black soil and carefully watched the changes, while cautiously calculating the ratio between the two.

When the Spatial Water poured onto the black soil, it was like the heavenly dew from a Guanyin willow branch. The black soil immediately changed, gradually losing its oily black color, transforming into a unique hue resembling black land. The sandy particles inside also slowly disappeared, turning into ordinary soil.

Once the small pile of black soil was completely improved, Zhao Hai carefully calculated that the ratio was about fifteen to one. That meant he could transform one pile of black soil with only one-fifteenth of the water volume.

Zhao Hai was quite satisfied with this result, as it indicated that Spatial Water had a strong improvement ability for black soil. Next, he sprinkled spatial soil on another pile of black soil. This time, the changes in the black soil were somewhat different from when using Spatial Water. The black soil that had been transformed with spatial soil looked even more fertile, but the ratio of spatial soil to black soil was ten to one.

Zhao Hai then turned to the third pile of soil, using a nine to one ratio of spatial water to spatial soil for the black soil. The result was successful, but the improved black soil was indistinguishable from that improved with Spatial Water.

Next was an eight to two ratio, and the result was the same. The seven to three ratio yielded the same outcome. The four to six ratio made the black soil equally fertile as that improved with spatial soil. When he tried a five to five and six to four ratio, there seemed to be no difference.

At this point, Zhao Hai no longer needed to experiment. Using the six to four ratio of Spatial Water and spatial soil for improving the black soil should yield the most reasonable results, avoiding excessive waste while ensuring the best soil quality.
